Prelude to a Recount?

Anyone else besides me think that the election is going to end in long, drawn-out recount deja vu?

I heard Florida lost / misplaced a substantial amount of absentee ballots and some Ohio poll workers failed to show up at their respective precincts- That sounds like good enough proof for me... :(

Nah, I think this election will run nice and smooth personally, despite early signs of possible strong-arming.

Pending a landslide (which there won't be), there will be most certanly recounts in several states and we likely won't know who's won for quite a while, although Fox will predict Bush almost right away (Bush's cousin is working on the Fox Election Coverage tonight, I believe).

TGN, I presume you watch Jon Stewart too?

Heh... I do watch the Daily Show- I thought the name for the broadcast was rather witty, so I stole it.

Voter turnout also seems to be exceptionally high... it's going to be really close- which is why I think either side is going to contest the results.

Why stop at recount? The way this election is going, it'll probably end up with riots in the street (no matter who wins).

If that had any basis in fact, you might seem less partisan and biased. Really, everyone knows Fox News is not liberal. There seems to be problems among some people, though, knowing that it isn't Rush Limbaugh on TV. Fox is being just as meticulous with its election calling as any other news station.

Recounts will happen in OH, PA, FL, and NC probably.

Why North Carolina? Because they're not calling it with 0% of the precincts reporting?

I fear that you're correct...

i'm guessing that there will be at least some problems concerning the voting process. With so many more people voting this year than normal, how can there not be?

recounts are normal
they happen when results in a state are within 3% i believe

Of course there will be.

Then the leech-like lawyers will hit the courts.

Lawyers suck. They're the only profession that gets to play both sides of any debate, and ALWAYS get the money, despite what or who they ruin.
