Well I'm British anyway so I can't vote. Don't have a go at me for 'interfering' with your domestic policy again like you did the Guardian!

Also, what do Americans view as 'interfering' with a country's domestic policy more:

-a British newspaper asking its readers to write to american organisations asking them to support Senator Kerry

or...

-invading a country and toppling its long-standing government?

Subject: Tragedy
>
>
> John Kerry visits a primary school and sits in on one of the classes,
> which is in the middle of a discussion on words and their meaning. The
> teacher asks Mr. Kerry if he would like to lead the discussion of the

> So, the illustrious senator asks the class for an example of
a"tragedy."
>
>
> One little boy stands up and offers: "If my best friend, who lives on
a

>
> "That's wrong," Kerry shouts. "That would be considered an accident."
>
> A little girl raises her hand: "If a school bus carrying 50 children

>
> "You are completely incorrect," shouts the senator. "That would be

>
> The room goes silent. No other children volunteer. Kerry searches the
> room. "Isn't there someone here who can give me an example of a

Wyoming would be a tough swing, though. Granted, it's a Rocky state, but it'd still be surrounded on all sides by America.

On the other hand, out of all the US...

What territory is the most disenfranchised?
What territory will garner the most sympathy among the other major powers?
What territory is the most easily defended?

Shouldn't be too hard to add pi and blorp on this one.

The thing I find so funny is... When the war in Iraq started, there were millions of protesters against bush and his ideas... the election seems to show overwise.

The other thing I find stupid with the american elections is this silly points systems... The states with the highest point values always tend to be the richest... and rich people tend to vote republican... kerry snatched up most of the lesser states, and has actually acumulated more votes... but thanks to this stupid points system, Bush will kick ass.

ah... I must read up on my American info...

 Well, I guess i'm not always right...

The states with the highest points are usually the most populus. They split how they vote. States like California, Illinois, and New York usually go Democrat, but states like Texas and Florida and Ohio tend to go Republican. Kerry got far fewer states, and has lost the popular vote by around 3 million, but is only currently losing the points 254-252, alot closer than the popular vote would indicate.

As far as bush bashing they made it seem like everyone hated bush, that you would be an idiot not to, and surely there was no doubt bush would not get reelected. Obviously most people did not feel this way. I thought about it and think it was the whole squeaky wheel thing, the Bush haters screamed the loudest so the press was all over them. I tend not to favor those who are hateful and vendictive, hmm, I guess that's why I always hated soaps.

As far as this statement:
The other thing I find stupid with the american elections is this silly points systems... The states with the highest point values always tend to be the richest... and rich people tend to vote republican... kerry snatched up most of the lesser states, and has actually acumulated more votes... but thanks to this stupid points system, Bush will kick ass.

First off california almost the biggest state and Connecticut almost the smallest are one of the richest states yet they both voted Kerry, hmm.

Also it didn't matter about point systems, Bush won more states and more votes over all. So even without the point system Bush still wins.
