In twenty-four hours, there will be a lot of pissed off people in the US.

It's 5:05 here in Britain, I've got to be up in 2 and a half hours, and I'm not going to be sleeping until I know the result with some reasonable amount of certainty (unless, of course, it drags on for months of litigation like the last one).

I think this election is the first in US history to be more important to the UK than it is to the US, as both main candidates' internal policies are very similar - worryingly similar in fact - while their foreign policy is very different - A Bush win means 4 more years of him ruling Britain by proxy (provided, of course, Tony Blair wins the British election next year, which he almost certainly will) while a Kerry win would mean a much more healthy, two-way partnership.

America, The whole of Great Britain begs you, boot Bush back to Crawford today and we'll stop with the jokes about you guys being late for WW2 ;)

Wooo! Think I could win Bush any votes by running door-to-door at 2 A.M., screaming that Bush is Hitler, and we're all doomed if we don't vote for Kerry? ;)

Maybe if I didn't live in California.. :( ....a Republican area of California... :headbang:

Easy, easy - It was a joke - I don't really care for the whole 'we won the war for you' debate anyway. Seriously though, 4 more years of Bush will be hell for the rest of the world, especially us - so seeing as there's no real difference between them for you lot on the inside, how about doing us a favour and voting Bush out.

I'm gonna spend tomorrow (It's 10:30 here) watching news.
And Kelonians, my reply was a joke too. I didn't mean anything by it.

It's funny you should say that.

I think if you ask most americans they will tell you the internal policies of the two candidates are vastly different and they have far more similiarity on foreign affairs. (Except that Kerry supporters will say he is less likely to piss other national leaders off.)

Lend-lease wasn't that important before 1942. Lend-lease was a great help to russia, britain was doing fine enough protecting itself. Without american help, germany still had no chance to invade britain.

Well the oil companies appear to be backing Kerry with a predicted drop in oil prices under a Kerry government.

Only eight and a half hours before I cast my votes (there are other things on the ballot, after all). I can't wait. I'm practically giddy.
