Eighteen Reasons to Fire Bush ...

More than 1,100 Americans have died thanks to George Bush.

by James Buchanan

It would be hard to imagine a worse Republican president than George W. Bush. He sent U.S. troops to die for Israeli interests, jailed American political dissidents and damaged America's reputation in the eyes of the civilized world. He has spent more money than the liberal Bill Clinton and has left our borders largely unguarded -- even after 911. Americans voted against Bush Senior in 1992 and Bob Dole in 1996 because they were seriously flawed candidates, but both of them look great compared to Bush Junior. Listed below are eighteen reasons to fire George W. Bush.

1) Persecution of David Duke. The persecution of a political activist with a long history of obeying the law is a very deliberate and evil act. The president can exert considerable pressure to get a prosecution started. David Duke was pressured by "our" government not to give speeches in Muslim nations. The persecution of Duke was a retaliation for opposing the war against Iraq --and possibly retaliation for Duke running against Bush Senior in the 1992 Republican primary.

George W. Bush is a man of clearly limited intellect, who favors revenge over doing what's right. The war against Iraq may have been -in part- motivated by revenge for an alleged assassination attempt against Bush's father. That assassination plot turned out to be highly dubious. The "assassins" were actually whiskey smugglers, a male nurse and a coffee shop owner. Their confessions "were extracted by repeated beatings." (Ref.1) If Bush would push the US into a war partly for a family vendetta, then sending David Duke to jail for daring to challenge his dad (as well as questioning the war) is completely believable.

2) Persecution of James Traficant. Traficant had a long history of telling the truth while everyone else in Congress was too intimidated to say anything. George W. Bush did not want an independent political dissident in Congress undermining his efforts to push the U.S. into a war with Iraq.

3) The unjust war against Iraq. It has become typical for mediocre American presidents to push the country into a war so they can enjoy a certain immunity from criticism. Bush Senior waged war on Panama because of alleged drug smuggling (although no drugs were found) and against Iraq for invading Kuwait. (Curiously, we didn't declare war on Israel for invading Lebanon in 1982.) The 911 investigating panel found no credible Iraq-al Qaeda ties (despite Dick Cheney's numerous lies about this) and no Weapons of Mass Destruction. Before the war, UN weapons inspectors were fed tips by our intelligence agencies, which led to nothing. Only the most simple-minded Kool Aid drinkers believe Bush's insultingly obvious lie about wanting to set up a democracy in Iraq. For one thing, the Constitution gives the president NO AUTHORITY to invade foreign nations to install democracies. The members of Congress failed miserably to do their jobs and make the actual decision to go to war themselves as the Constitution mandates. They gave Bush a blank check to go to war, which was just as irresponsible as giving a handgun to a chimp.

4). The disastrous occupation. We are staying in Iraq to steal their oil and to subjugate Iraq for Israel. Over 1,100 Americans have died thanks to George Bush. The most recent revelation is that Bush's failure to send in adequate troops resulted in the failure to guard at least two ammunition depots. (Ref. 2) The depots were looted by Iraqi rebels and those weapons and bombs have been used against our troops --thanks to a mistake by George Bush. It is a tremendous disgrace that so many Americans are willing to overlook the carnage this man has caused in the hope of possibly getting another thirty pieces of silver in the form of a tax cut. Estimates of civilian deaths caused by the invasion and occupation range from 10,000 to 100,000. (Ref. 3) Bush Senior reportedly killed hundreds of thousands of Iraqis in 1991 with massive airstrikes, and another half million Iraqis died after the war from an embargo on medical supplies. Despite the mass slaughter of Iraqi civilians by our military, neocon talk show hosts always insist that each new mass grave found in Iraq is "proof" that Saddam was bad. Time after time, the mass graves turn out to be victims of Desert Storm, Desert Fox or the Iran-Iraq war, which our government secretly encouraged to punish Iran for overthrowing the Shah.

5) The Anti-Patriot Act. This has dismantled the Fourth Amendment in the Bill of Rights. Book shop owners are required to tell federal agents what books you have bought to see if you fit their profile of a terrorist. Once again, Bush shows zero appreciation for or understanding of the Bill of Rights --yet millions of conservatives still insist on following him even if the ultimate destination is a barb-wired enclosure with guard towers at the corners.

6) The Neocon plague. George Bush allowed a cabal of Jewish neocons to infest his administration. These liars and warmongers played a major role in fabricating false evidence for a war against Iraq and suppressing evidence that would have prevented war.

7) Botching the 911 investigation. Scores of Israeli spies posing as art students (who were living in the same cities as the hijackers) and a Mossad camera crew that filmed the 911 attack were detained briefly and then released. At the very least, Israel knew the attack was coming and didn't warn us. At worst, the Israelis may have set up phony al Qaeda cells and engineered the attack. Bush is such a sycophantic Jew-lover that he refuses to recognize even the most obvious signs of Israeli duplicity.

8 ) The Abu Ghraïb prison scandal. George Bush weasel-worded a memo to give soldiers (not to mention civilian contractors and even a few Israelis) the authority to torture prisoners. The bizarre sexual humiliation and naked pictures made the scandal even worse. The Commander in Chief must make it clear that any failure to obey the Geneva Convention will bring tremendous shame on the U.S. Once again, Dubya -with his limited intellect- did not foresee this sort of disaster unfolding or he simply didn't care.

9) The August 8th, 2001 memo: "'Bin Laden Determined to Strike in U.S." This memo mentioned the possible use of hijacked planes. Bush could have immediately deported all Middle Eastern men in the U.S. on student visas (especially the ones in flight school). Bush could have immediately signed an executive order giving pilots the right to keep and bear arms. Either of these actions would have likely foiled the 911 attack. The claim by Condoleezza Rice that "There was no silver bullet" to stop the 911 attack is another Big Lie from the Bush administration to cover up their blundering incompetence that led to the deaths of over 3,000 Americans.

10) A huge federal deficit. George Bush has increased federal spending eight percent per year as president compared to two percent per year under Clinton. It is a great mystery why any so-called conservative would defend this man. The deficit has ballooned to half a trillion dollars per year and the federal budget exceeds two trillion. George Bush does not appreciate or understand basic conservative financial ideology. His pathetically small tax cut had little positive effect --especially when the price of gas shot above two dollars per gallon in many states.

11) A horrible record on jobs. America needs to create about 1.7 million jobs per year to keep up with population growth. There has been a net loss of 800,000 jobs while Bush was president. This is the worst record since Herbert Hoover. To make matters worse, there are 800,000 more government jobs. That's 800,000 more paper-shuffling government bureaucrats, who get paid by a wide variety of taxes. This means that the loss of jobs in the private sector is really 1.6 million. And don't forget that 2.7 million manufacturing jobs have been lost while Bush was president. The average re-employed American is making $6,000 less per year.

12) Billions in no-bid contracts for Halliburton. This is an unbelievably corrupt conflict of interest that makes Bill Clinton look like an amateur. An investigation of this is finally materializing, but Bush has managed to delay it so that any final decision will come after the election.

13) Failure to criticize Israel for murdering American and British peace protestors. An American woman, Rachel Corrie, was murdered by an Israeli as she attempted to protect the house of a Palestinian that was about to be bulldozed. A British citizen was shot in the head by an Israeli while he was on another peace protest. George Bush was too busy kissing Ariel Sharon's posterior to say one word of protest.

14) Failure to condemn Israel for continued atrocities against civilians. The Israelis admit that they kill three Palestinians for every Israeli killed. Virtually all the victims of these attacks are civilians on both sides. This means that the Israelis commit three times as much terrorism as the Palestinians. Bush has failed to condemn Israel for these crimes --and this unconditional pro-Israeli support was a key reason for the 911 attack.

15) The insanely high price of gas. Isn't it funny how the price of gas shoots up whenever a member of the Bush family becomes president? Our economy needs cheap gasoline so that consumers can spend more of their money on goods and services that keep people employed. Bush made no effort to develop alternative energy sources including biodiesel or hot fusion. Wars and embargoes always raise the price of oil. We granted "most favored nation" status to Red China despite the Tiananmen Square Massacre, but we couldn't lift the embargo on Iraqi oil.

16) The failure to seal off the Mexican border. George Bush has turned a blind eye to the illegal alien problem. Even the threat of al Qaeda terrorists sneaking across the Mexican border did not motivate Bush to deploy Army units on the border or do anything that would seal it off. Bush doesn't care if America fills up with Mexicans and other Third World races. In fact, he has proposed giving illegal aliens a worker's ID, which is the next best thing to an amnesty. How many babies will the average Mexican family have if they are allowed to stay here for three years on a work visa? Each baby will be a US citizen --guaranteeing that we will never be able to deport them. This issue alone will destroy America as we know it and George Bush is on the wrong side.

17) The creation of yet another federal police agency. The Department of Homeland Security was created because two other federal agencies the FBI and CIA failed to do their jobs. (By the same reasoning, we should just keep creating new federal agencies whenever the existing ones foul up.) Many Americans want to disband the FBI and BATF because of the atrocities at Waco and Ruby Ridge. All crime is local. If every state created a database of dangerous felons and shared this information, there would no need for the FBI. The Department of Homeland Security will turn against ordinary Americans one day and commit atrocities just like the other federal police agencies.

18 ) Bush's Second Term: A draft and war with Iran. Bush's promise to not create a draft is nothing but hot air. If Bush waged a war based on a bunch of shabby lies in his first term and if people reward him with a second term, nothing will stop him from doing even worse things in his second term. Bush won't have to worry about reelection so the sky's the limit. To please his Jewish friends, he may decide to invade Syria, Iran and Saudi Arabia. The Jews have been screaming about Iranian nuclear reactors for years, and there is little doubt Israeli paranoia will cause another war. The federal deficit could easily hit one trillion dollars per year during Bush's second term and we'll lose another 1.6 million private sector jobs and add another 800,000 government bureaucrats.

Yes. Israel, who fought against terrorism ever since their creation, had hosted al queda attacks and in any way would help terrorists. Make some sense, man. Bush is a bad president, but many of the reasons you give are invalid. Kerry will support Isreal just as well, but he also has a better financial plan, that's why he is my choice.

OMG what a wet stinky load! I couldn't get to #1 without gaping incredulously. Yeah we need to fire Bush but this shit is whack, yo!

Jailing of political dissidents? Oh, yeah... we all remember how Michael Moore disappeared into a cold dark cell last year, right? Jeeze, what crap! A few (hundred) protestors spend a night in jail... is that what he's talking about? OMG! It's a banana republic!

More than 1,100 Americans have died thanks to George Bush.

So much bullshit, so little time. Do you realize how much you're dishonoring those who, unlike you, were brave enough to join the military, even after 9/11? Have you been there? Have you seen anything other than American media reports? This is a war. People die in wars. People die period. Those men and women died to protect your ass but do you care? No. Just as long as you have your CNN and Michael Moore paraphernalia.

George W. Bush is a man of clearly limited intellect,

So...wait a minute...graduating from Yale and having an MBA from Harvard, plus being a fighter pilot demonstrates a limited intelect?

Only the most simple-minded Kool Aid drinkers believe Bush's insultingly obvious lie about wanting to set up a democracy in Iraq. For one thing, the Constitution gives the president NO AUTHORITY to invade foreign nations to install democracies. The members of Congress failed miserably to do their jobs and make the actual decision to go to war themselves as the Constitution mandates.

a.) I'm not simple-minded. b.)I don't like Kool Aid c.)JFK didn't care about the Constitution when he went to Vietnam to install democracy.

18 ) Bush's Second Term: A draft and war with Iran. Bush's promise to not create a draft is nothing but hot air.

There could be a draft...if the democrats sponsoring the bill in congress (http://thomas.loc.gov/cgi-bin/query) get their way.

Why do I bother responding to this load of crap? If you're stupid enough to be swayed by this, then you probably won't understand half of what I said anyway.

c.)JFK didn't care about the Constitution when he went to Vietnam to install democracy.

Which was bad, because the democracy was inherently corrupt and half of the people in the government supported the North. Don't forget we lost that war. South Korea is a better example.

Kerry's promise not to raise taxes is nothing but thin air. He voted 98 times to raise taxes while in senate. He wants to raise the minimum wage to 7$ an hour. How the hell will we do that? A money tree, maybe? At least you can trust Bush when he says there won't be a draft. You, my friend, are a pissed off the government-is-always-opressing-me left wing extremist neo liberal (ya, it's a new one) pansy.

So...wait a minute...graduating from Yale and having an MBA from Harvard, plus being a fighter pilot demonstrates a limited intelect?

Actually it's quite possible. I once had a girl friend who had an IQ that was unmeasurable(she had killer eyes and a great rack but thats beside the point ;) ), she went to Stanford. I ran into her years later and she said she dropped out. I was litterally stunned and asked her why. She said she got bored and you would be amazed how many stupid people go to big name schools. Having a great deal of money, helps.

As to a pilot thing. It's been said he is a rather poor pilot and that he had help getting the position. I do belive he doesn't even fly anymore.

OTOH, I have heard one biographer talk about the shrub and some of the comments he said talking about how his dad blew it, paints a differnt picture.

c.)JFK didn't care about the Constitution when he went to Vietnam to install democracy.

Actually, we were involved oneway or another since WWII. JFK didn't go to install a democracy and in fact I remember seeing an old interview where he was ranting about the stupidity of Viet Nam and he was going to get us out even if he had to fire everybody. He was shot 3 weeks later.

There could be a draft...if the democrats sponsoring the bill in congress (http://thomas.loc.gov/cgi-bin/query) get their way.

If it happens, the Repubs went along with it.
