If I told you 15 yeras ago that there would be this president in the United states who would piss off the whole world, including you, would you move in to the US and become citizens and move to Florida to vote for Gore just to make sure Bush couldnt destroy the world would you do it.
After the election you could move back to your home countries.

uhm... what about a
'no, cause one vote wouldn't have changed a thing' option?
or 'yes, but not for voting, but convincing w. of his true destiny, becoming a prophet for the [insert weird belief here] religion.'
or 'maybe...how much would you pay me?';)

Yeah but if 1000 people came from Italy, 1000 from Spain, 1000 from France, 1000 from England, 1000 from Portugal, 1000 from Greece, 1000 from Germany, 1000 from Ireland, 1000 from Poland, 1000 from Sweden, 1000 from Norway, 1000 from Switzerland, 1000 from Scandinavia, 1000 from Denmark, and 1000 from Amsterdam, and 1000 from Holland. You cant tell me that 160,000 people voting for Gore in FLORIDA (the closest state in the whole damn race, thrown off by 00.01%) would not have made a difference.

In all honesty, No. I would not go to America.
I'm sick of all of the US election coverage we get in the UK. Does the US get UK election coverage? Does the US even care?
I don't think so.
I kind of like how the information is there for us to take in whether we want to or not- but televising the votes live...is a bit overboard I think.
So no. Not my problem.

But i do know one thing: the british probably wont have a fascist satanic puppet as a candidate, especially not one who has such hardon for war hell bomb anything and everything. depost or not, theocracy or not, oil or no oil.

yes, if 1000 people each from 16 countries were to move to the us, that'd be 160,000 ;)
but on a side note... i'm pretty sure that in the past 15 years, there were about 1000 people from all of these countries that moved to the us, and it hasn't changed a thing.
if any european were to live in the us for 15 years, they would at least partly adopt the us lifestyle and therefore about 50% of the immigrants would be likely to vote bush anyways.
15 years is a long time and europeans are just as influenced by the media as americans are. there are just have different opinions voiced on european media ;)

15 years ago was the end of Reagan's administration. Contrary to the belief that America and Europe have always been chummy, that was another time of strain across the Atlantic.

The US president does tend to have on impact on every country on Earth, near enough. What with him being the leader of the most powerful nation on Earth n' all. So us Brits probably should pay a passing interest in the American election.

I am also fed up with the US election coverage, it is so-so very boring, ok so it's in the news so much because of all the anti-Bush feelings in the UK, but I really don't care if Bush or Kerry win anymore, I just want it to be over!
I wouldn't move to the US anyhow, it wouldn't have a party for my politics.

but that's the whole point! You should've moved there 15 years ago, founded your own political party, and convinced more than half of the population of what you believe in and then your candidate would've won the election in 2000 and we'd all be happy and such.

16,000 people wouldn't do much: Bush lost by a much higher number and became president anyway.

I hope this is a very bad joke.

No I wouldn't go back, cos the election was bogus. It doesn't matter if all nationstates members went back, they'd find a way for us to be removed form the register or our votes would be lost. Unless you actually were well up with Bush it wouldn't work. Like going back even further and doing something disgusting like marrying him-yuck. But ya know the real problems are his advisors especially cheney who along with some other cronies back in the Viet Nam war went off making allagations against Viet Nam government which were proved to be fake..ring any bells?
If your so sick of election coverage in UK then stop watching Sky, BCC etc news. I'm in Ireland , yes over the past few days there has been a huge increase in election coverage both on Irish, UK and European channels but thats because its the home stretch. The electoins are given so much coverage cos every one has an opinion on them. While the US may not give much coverage on UK elections. The result ot Tuesday has huge implications for UK-heck ye might even get an election of ye're own very soon if Bush is re-elected and finds a new place to declare war..My bet is France--because they speak french and drink wine and they have the bollacks to stand up to the infallability of the US!!!!!
