He's far to short. :)

You have to be tall to be president in the US, it's a law. :)

Qualifications don't hurt either. ;)

I dunno who the democrats are going to run in '08 though... I'm dead serious.. I can kinda speculate, but not with any confidence.. any thoughts?

Kerry if he wins. Hopefully Hilary if he doesn't.

Exactly, even though he was a much better candidate than Kerry, the democrats new he was to short so they didn't pick him. Don't you remeber the whole electability argument. Kerry's electable because he is tall like herman munster.

He's funny but not a president. Americans seem to prefer boring morons that they can worship as heroes.

Well yeah, I figured Kerry if he wins. ;) Unless his prostate cancer reasserts itself someplace. You really think Hillary though, or just hope so? I know a lot of liberals hope Hillary makes a run, but don't actually expect it.

Did you see him totally rip Tucker Carlson to shreds? Carlson kept comparing Crossfire's "hard-hitting" questions to those from the Daily Show. Stewart was like, "This explains a lot--mainstream media looks to a comedy show to see what is considered responsible journalism." Carlson kept at it. So Stewart finally says, "The show before mine is puppets making prank phone calls. What is wrong with you?" It was frickin' beautiful. And when they just kept cutting him off after they asked him questions (like at the very end of the show) it proved Stewart's point so much better than anything he could have said himself--Crossfire is about shouting at each other and not about discourse or actually explaining one's opinion.

Has anyone else noticed just how much The Daily Show is having clips shown on CNN during their election coverage? Nearly every day at least one fo the programs is showing a clip, and this both before and after his Crossfire appearance.

Maybe mainstream media IS looking to John Stuart for guidance on coverage and integrity (j/k)

Tall politicians are clearly more trustworthy than the other guy, whilst we are looking for a tall candidate: Conan O'Brien! Who needs Leno's spot when you can have Bush's spot!

Now that, my friend, is a truly inspired idea.

I say we do it. With his height he is a lock.

I for one would vote for Jon Stewart over just about anyone else. He is the only truly unbiased, non politically correct anchor on television. I use the daily show as my sole source of news. :)

NOO! We need Jon Stewart on the sidelines picking at both sides and commenting through humor on the media. What'll be nice is in a few months it will be back to not being part of the media-as it's phenomenom grows the 'media-blob' has been trying to absorb the show into itself (see how Stewart on Crossfire became the news? It was funny and I liked watching it, but it was also a little ominous...)
