since the world series are over pretty early. why cant the new treehouse episode premire on halloween like it used too? Instead the X-Files movie will be on tomorrow at 8 p.m.

New Simpsons episodes are boring, dull and not even funny. The old ones had clever lines and ideas but now they just try and copy ideas from movies.
Most of the humour in Simpsons is rather shallow. I still like the show, but I don't believe it's deserving of the hype and praise it gets.
My personal favourite is Family Guy. It has a great mixture of everything from slapstick to obscure and demented humour, and has some rather deep jokes in it as well. Sure, much of the show does revolve around Peter Griffin, who's a blithering idiot like Homer, but at least there's some substance to his jokes and actions.
Futurama, Groening's other show, is also better than the Simpson's in my opinion, for much of the same reasons as Family Guy. It just doesn't have quite the memorable, gut busting jokes that Family Guy has.

Calling the Simpsons shallow and Family Guy deep....I don't see that at all, but okey dokey......
It would be nice to have the Treehouse of Horror actually on Halloween-maybe they think that viewers on a night when everyone will be out won't be as good. I'll be out so I'd miss it anyway. So I guess it's good they're waiting a week. I'm watching a Treehouse marathon right now, so I'm getting my fix....
