Seriously, we've all had bad Oriental food, yes?

I think the worst was when friends invited me to one of their favourite resturants, a Noodle House, and the soup I ordered smelled like dog hair. I ate it anyway (I'm nice that way).

So what bad food experiences have you had?

Well, I've also had brilliant Oriental food, and my favorite restaurant back home is Japanese.

But there's a fast food Chinese place in the student union here which is, to be frank, nasty. I had it once, despite many warnings from my friends, and - never again.

Funnily enough it was in France. Mont st. Michael in Normandy to be exact. I had a bowl of moules mariner which tasted delicious except for one. Yes, one of them was just a touch “gamey” but I thought, what the hell and ate it anyway. Four hours later I was stuck in a hotel throwing my guts up, and up, and up. It lasted for about 24 hrs. and was one of the worst experiences of my life. Still, as soon as possible I got back on the horse and started to enjoy fruit de la mer once again. Although this time I only ate raw shellfish on the theory that I could pick out the bad ones.

The next time in I was in France, Bordeaux to be exact, the same thing happened, but his time with raw oysters. (L'huitres naturalment!)

Since then I have learned that French food is crap compared to Italian. Also, I have never had food poisoning in Italy.

Have to say the worst is eating pork intestines. Especially if the intestines are not cleaned properly. You have shit still in them.

Those are probably the worst, since pork intestines are usually eaten purely boiled.
