Can barely hear the audio... I still have no idea what the overall context is, but that's pretty funny.
[edit] Found it now... that video goes way back. George W. Bush apparently was still governor of Texas when this was shot, and the person he's complaining about telling him what to do is an off-screen aide.

That made you respect him more?! My god, the man was acting like a damn child. It reminded me of kids when they're getting ready to take their gradeschool annual picture...I'm surprised he didn't start pulling faces. At least when Reagan joked around before going live (or so he thought) it was funny and he didn't sound like a buffoon.
And that is the guy who is supposed to represent our nation to the world... watch that clip again and think about that statement.

Ah yes, and I absolutely do respect the man more for that. It shows he is a real human being, and not the ashhole type like Kerry who resorts to name-calling and flickiing the bird at people who disagree with him, and in front of schoolchildren. Not to mention that it does compare well with Edwards, and his compact mirror. Or Kerry's $1,000 haircut. So my guy doesn't care how he looks, and has a sense of humor? And all your guy cares about is how he looks? To liberals, apparently all that matters is that the candidate looks good. Which may be why they keep saying that Bush looks like a monkey. As if it mattered...

My source is just as valid as yours
He still wasn't flipping the bird at a decorated War Hero at the Vietnam wall. That was Kerry.
This may be the only time I address a no-account, partisan hack like you, so listen up. My take on this, looking at the above article on it:
1) You mean a decorated war vet flashed another decorated war vet the bird? Sounds like they're on level ground to me. Now, if Bush had done such a thing, it'd be another matter. So, quit crowing about it as if Kerry weren't also a decorated Vietnam vet.
2) I would have flashed him the bird, too. There's a bit of pressure there when known violent felon is standing there, propagandizing about you to school children and harassing you. I scarcely think any less of him for this; though, of course, he could have handled it better.
Your boy shows us what a chump he is, as if most of us didn't know anyway. Not that this is an issue...merely entertainment for those of us who recognize what Bush is anyway.

Im too lazy to slam Anbar for a few of the other mistakes he made in this thread but i will point out that Kerry was not exactly a "decorated veteran" in the same sense many of the others were. He even pretended to throw away his medals (used fakes.) He actively testified against US war crimes and in general was a PITA for war criminals. This earned him a lot of disrespect.
Lastly, stop saying Drudge Report is unreliable, guys! Its not even a proper news report! All he does is collect from other sources and point out small details! Sheesh!
Whatever happened to the admiration he used to have on both sides?
Well spoken.

Let's see...vanity versus idiocy...vanity versus idiocy...which kind of person would I rather put in the highest office in the land?
Please, is that all you have? Tired, AM-radio commentary about how Kerry and Edwards are vain? Only an atrophied mind could draw that out to a conclusion that his hair is all that he cares about, or his only appeal. And why did you try to pass that drivel off as a logical argument? Because I dared to comment that Bush looked like a gradeschooler in that video...and I'll extend that: I think it shows just what's wrong with America today when someone says "That is cool as hell," regarding such a show. Utterly pathetic; and you call that a sense of humor? I bet he was a riot in 4th grade!
I think Bush has shown us enough during the past four years that he's a real human being...a real dim one.

"A few other mistakes?" Oh, please do elaborate...since I've only posted four messages total on this thread (counting this one), this ought to be interesting. Please, go ahead and "slam" me. No one's done an adequate job of that in some time.
I don't get into the pathetic argument of Kerry's medals. The claims of his detractors are highly questionable, and many have been caught in outright lies. I also think his testimony was a good thing, so you can pack up such arguments, as well. It did earn him a lot of disrespect, but speaking the truth often does when people don't want to hear it. It also nets you the attention of some whackos like the one in the article above.

Assuming that link about Kerry flicking off the vet is true, I'd still say the guy definately deserved it.
John F. Kerry gave the middle finger to a Vietnam veteran at the Vietnam Memorial Wall on Memorial Day morning, NewsMax.com has learned. Ted Sampley, a former Green Beret who served two full tours in Vietnam, spotted Kerry and his Secret Service detail at about 9:00 a.m. Monday morning at the Wall. Sampley walked up to Kerry, extended his hand and said, "Senator, I am Ted Sampley, the head of Vietnam Veterans Against John Kerry, and I am here to escort you away from the Wall because you do not belong here."
At that point a Secret Service officer told Sampley to back away from Kerry. Sampley moved about 6 feet away and opened his jacket to reveal a HANOI JOHN T-shirt. Kerry then began talking to a group of schoolchildren. Sampley then showed the T-shirt to the children and said, "Kerry does not belong at the Wall because he betrayed the brave soldiers who fought in Vietnam."
Just then Kerry - in front of the school children, other visitors and Secret Service agents - brazenly 'flashed the bird' at Sampley and then yelled out to everyone, "Sampley is a felon!"
http://www.rushonline.com/kerry/kerryprotests.htm
Let me say that Sampley is not only a decorated veteran of Vietnam, but is also a documented nutter - the two not being mutually exclusive, as Kerry's stint in the VVAW well proved. Likewise, let me also state that if your vote is swayed either by a candidate flipping off a jerk in a public venue, or a candidate doing so privately as a joke, you aren't bright enough to be allowed to have a vote.

I bet he (Bush) was a riot in 4th grade!
Hardest four years of his life...
Did anyone read the whole article first posted about Kerry flipping the guy off?
If not read this part:
Sampley confronted Sen. John McCain's chief aide, Mark Salter, in a Senate stairwell after McCain repeatedly offended POW families at a Senate POW hearing.
Is this the same McCain who was held for nearly 6 years? Yet he repeatedly offended POW families? How? Certainly makes you wonder about the state of Sampley's mentality.
Also, since Sampley was a convicted felon (for assault on an aide of another senator), I think Kerry showed a lot of leniency to just have the agents back him off 6 feet. Let's face it, Kerry would have been well within his rights as a Presidential candidate to have the proven violent nutter dragged off and thrown in jail for a few hours, for personal safety reasons. How was Kerry to know Sampley wasn't carrying a gun?
:D Wow, that was trite. "Listen up" Okay momma, you tell me whats what. :D Shhhhh, your narcotics are wearing off, call the men in the white jackets.
Is that all you have to say? Utterly pathetic, but completely expected...
Impunia is right. This isn't a video that should change anyone's vote. While I think such a candid look at Bush is telling, there are more important factors being ignored in this election than a decade(?)-old outtake. I still think it's disturbing that anyone should respect him more for such a juvenile show, but that's another matter.

I'd like to sing a song for munkebrain, to the tune of 'Yesterday'. Here goes:
Munkebrain,
Spewing vitriol online again,
Demonstrating how he is insane,
Oh I'm so tired, of Munkebrain.
Sullenly, soul as black as Dick Cheney's,
He'd like the world down on its' knees,
Paying homage to his wee pee-pee,
Munkebrain comes sullenly.
Why'd he
Have to go and post all the night and day?
I've heard
Something said that he wants me to go away-ay-ay
Munkebrain,
Putting simians to shame,
Telling jokes that always turn out lame,
Oh I'm so tired, of Munkebrain.
Mm-mm-mm-mm-mmm-mm-mm!
Uh, thank you very much...

Is that the only basis for your analysis of the candidates? Their sense of humor? Their personalities have nothing to do with being able to run a country well. Nor do their looks as both kind of look freakish.
