So I loan some money to a friend who wanted to but a CD player for his car and was short a little bit. He promised to pay me his next payday. When that day came he made an excuse about not getting enough hours and needed the money to cover his gas and a date with his gf.

Next payday he just 'forgets' and spends it on bullshit stuff. Now, Three months later, he hasn't paid me. I tell him to pawn the stereo and give me my money and he just tells me to f#ck off he's does not have the money to pay me and he is not going to.

So what do you think I should do?

If you don't have a written IOU or some witnesses, you're screwed legally AFAIK.

Best bet is to write off the money and write him off as a friend. Make sure everyone knows he stiffed you though so he'll never get another penny from your group of friends.
