Regardless of who is most likely to become President in real life, if you could cast the deciding vote- who would you make president?

If you want some guidance on who to go with, visit www.selectsmart.com/president

Feel free to give your reasons for your choice and to debate with the decisions of others if you so wish.

Kerry obviously. Despite all the debate about him, he can't possibly do worse than Bush can. He certainly won't shoot our nation in the foot in the eyes of the world and he won't attack basic civil liberties that losing is neccessary for our "protection." When the choice is between being free or having a soap bubble of security by losing them, the answer is obvious.

Bush. I've got a 6-page report on why we need to reelect him, and I'm not finished.

woohooo. i did the test and for my own surprise the result was exactly what I supposed it to be! I wasn't sure which candidate shares the same views than I do as media concentrates on the 2 biggest idiots.
no 1 Cobb
no 2 Nader
and very suprisingly, on the last place, we find mr Bush.

Cobb and Nader tied at 93% each for me, surprisingly ahead of Kucinich, who I thought was my ideal candidate. I chose Cobb because Nader's a tool and because he actually got his party's nomination. Last place for me was Peroutka at 4%, with Bush at 12%. Kerry was 88%.

I voted Badnarik, though this is because I am unfamiliar with Michael Peroutka. I will have to look in to him and his party.

Peroutka and the Constitution Party are pretty religious (Christian) and less libertarian although more 'constitutional' than the GOP

Yeah I just went and looked up platforms and what not.
I agree with him on everything but immagration.
I have always called myself a "Constitutionalist" I didnt know there was a Party by that name.
I think a split ticket between Libertarians and these Constitutionalists would be good for America--better then the Dems and Repubs.

I had Cobb in the lead with 59%
Nobody I agree with individually was ranked very high, so I dont get it.

If you think Bush has blurred the line between church and state...:p

I don't see how anyone who likes Badnarik could also like Peroutka. Peroutka would be endorsed by Jerry Falwell if he had a chance of winning.

Since the guy I voted for (early voting is fun and easy; you should go for it if your county offers it) isn't on your list, I voted for the politician that got the highest rating according to that site, Bush at 77%, nevermind that I think that is a little high. Badnarik got a 61% approval rating from me (which is a little low in my opinion), with Kerry a weak third with 32% (which is more or less right).

After reading through the website prepared platforms, I found that I agreed with the Constitutional Party guy more than with Bush. Oh well.

They are both Neo-Libertarians economically, no tax, no welfare, no corporate regulation. Other than that, they are indeed quite different. Of the two I'd take the Libertarians, as I agree more with their other policies, but as I detest neo-libertarianism anyway neither would get my vote. That being said, I don't live in America and I'm not voting age yet. So I wouldn't be voting anyway.

For me it was a toss-up between the Greens and the Socialists. I prefer the Greens economic policy, as it isn't complete government ownership of industry, but the Greens don't wish to ban gun sales like the Socalists do. In the end I went for Greens overall.

Hehe, bah, no politics for me. It's depressing enough just following it, but actually getting involved?

Besides, I'm all together too nice and too honest to get anywhere :p

Hey, I got nearly the same results, only my percentages where different (from 93% to 8%) So I'ld be voting Cobb. Though in Real Life, I don't think Cobb could win, so I'ld vote for Kerry, just to get Bush out of the White House.
