Left in the dark? Who will do what next?

Kerry or Bush?

If you have seen the all popular documentries about "truths" of September 11, or read about why George W. Bush "actually" had the war with Iraq, and "Who the real terroists are", then your vote more than likely changed this year.

However, who is to say Kerry will do any better for the country?

Where is the US heading and is the government prepared to protect the country from anymore lives being taken?

I voted Badnarik. That way, I do not have a guilty conscience with this election. I am starting to wonder if we even need a President.

I intend to vote for Ralph Nader. Of course, my vote doesn't count--but my vote doesn't count anyway because I don't live in a swing state.

likewise, if god had intended for humans to have representative political systems he would have had us all think the same.

No, that statement about no President came from myself. I am just tired of all the political BS and neither candidate (Bush or Kerry) is a good choice. i would rather not have a President than one of them.

The US is currently heading into a dangerous realm wherein it has disenfranchised it's friends and is stripping it's citizens for corporate interests. The government, regardless of who is in office, is incapable of preventing all "terrorist" acts. It has improved somewhat but has light years to go before it has a properly organized and well running domestic defense system. It is still very caught up in window dressing.

The track taken by Bush & Co. has some merits but also furthers the encroachment of individual rights to privacy. An overly powerful, less bridled, central government has created an environment that is more commonly associated with totalitarian regimes. Patriotism has been transformed from a love of the country that was "the land of the free and the home of the brave" into a rationale to transgress against the individuals rights for the corporate interests of the state. In what other environment does the government encourage it's citizens to spy on one another and then report on those suspicions?

Perhaps my views are somewhat parochial, antiquated and naive but that was a hallmark of the Soviet Union and the Hitler Youth. America was the opposite. I have only heard of the world as it was before WWII from my parents and grandparents. I was born into a cold war that had a paranoia all it's own. But even that period, marked by nuclear annihilation held off only by a policy of M.A.D., had greater respect for the citizens.

The neo-con agenda is to take what was once as Lincoln said, "a nation of the people, by the people, for the people..." and transform it into "a government of the corporation, by the corporation for the corporation."

When I wear a flag on my clothing it is an outward expression of love for the original America I hold dear. It is not the co-opted symbols that the neo-cons try to wrap their lies in.

My patriotism calls for me to resist this transformation, not embrace it. So, imperfect as he is, I will vote for Kerry.

. . .

Think of it as "the Lady or the Tiger" with a twist: there might be two tigers, but you know there's at least one, because you've seen it, and you know which door it's behind. There might be another tiger behind the other door, but there might be your girlfriend. And if you don't pick soon it will be picked for you.

A very apt analogy.

How do you like Bu**'s projection on Kerry when he called him irresponsible for acting with less than full information on the missing ordinance?

We all know that, but we all know Bush sucks, so why not give Kerry a chance?

Bdanarik's only stance is that government shouldn't exist.

I damn near got whiplash when I heard him say that. The sad part is about 1/2 of the voters cheer him on.

Actually, he has a platform for running. And it is not "no government" as it is "little government." Principles the nation was built on.
