I am lucky to know that next election is allready falsified by the republicans. So I can win some money at Ladbroakes... In the free world, we are aware of the manipulations that will cost the Democrats the election. It is a shame that this can happen in a nation that was free before the last real elected president: Clinton.

I dont have too much against president Bush. (not that I agree with anything he does) I think its not him as much as it is vice president Cheney. Doesn't anyone find it strange that the former chairman (or whatever the position was) of Haliburton comes into office, then we suddenly invade the 2nd largest oil producing country in the world for a trivial reason? You never really hear too much about him on the news either.

putting stalin on the left is entirely debatable - he certainly didn't hold any values i would recognize as leftist. and while lenin was definitely on the left (particularly before he got into power) he certainly didn't think he was as far left as you can get. after all, "left-wing communism is an infantile disorder".

Wow........that's a huge insult to Stalin. Last I heard, Stalin never started a war that killed 55 million people and destroyed most of a continent. He may have caused many deaths, but it's debatable as to how many that actually was.

I have written and re-written a dozen replies to in this thread and deleted them all before posting: hard core dems will not be swayed by logic and sense and hard core members of the "vast right wing conspiracy" will not be swayed by logic and sense. It is the intelligent middle group that count.

Who those people are is open to debate, but I will say that comparing Stalin, Hitler, Bush and Kerry to each other and making a decision based on that comparison is proof that you are not a member of the intelligent middle.

Not really. Stalin actually made a non-agression pact with Hitler at first and worked with Hitler until Hitler started going crazy and turned on him.
Stalin's kill tally is ranked at about 20 million by this website, but anyone else with better info please add on to this.

And who else was there to give the contract to? The only other companies able of handling the jobs in Iraq aside from Haliburton was a French company, and a handful of others that did not help us in Iraq, and after all the resistance we recieved from France on this issue, would you prefer them to have it? If you do you once more prove your not thinking.
And since when has stopping a madman from getting WMD's been considered trivial? Did he have them? We know he had them in the past, and we know for a FACT even the weapons inspectors said that Saddam was putting money and programs in place to get them. Had we not gone in then and Saddam had gotten them after the sanctions had been lifted, then we would be guilty for the deaths of 10's of thousands rather than the 1000 dead now. Which do you prefer? The latter sound the best to me and if you think other wise you thrice now have been wrong.

Hitler and Stalin are only identical on an authoritarian scale. When it comes to economics, both differ greatly. As for comparing Hitler and Stalin regime's, both were awful and had disastrous consequences on humanity, but at least Hitler had a vision of teh world, while stalin was only a power craving fiend.
