The new 'Conflict: Vietnam' game...

..SUCKS!!!! It absolutly sucks, by far the worst game I've had the misfortune of ever playing!

This game has absolutly ruined the 'Conflict' series. Here's just a sample of how crappy this game is:

Horrible controls: You cannot hit ANYTHING. Period. Unless of course you're in the first person 'crosshair' mode, but even then half your screen is taken up by the gun sight, so you can't see anything and still can't hit anything.

Horrible graphics: The sounds and cut scenes are good, but the gameplay graphics SUCK. You can't see anything at all, and it's so grainy that it hurts your eyes after just a few minutes of trying to figure out where in the hell you are.

Horrible AI: Your teammates don't do squat except just stand there and get shot. But the enemy AI is good, so good you can barely swing around to shoot them before you die. EVEN THEN if you shoot them in the face they will not die, seriously. I unloaded 75+ rounds with the crosshair on a VC from about 15 meters away and he did not drop.

Horrible multiplayer: Lags like crazy, and just as crap-tastic as single player.

This game is a DISGRACE to the 'Conflict' series, and the creators should be taken out back and flogged repeatedly for this abomination. Seriously, they put more time into the stupid cut scenes than they did the rest of the game. BOOOO ON CONFLICT: VIETNAM!!! Never rent or buy this game!

Shellshock, yes. :)

Conflict: Vietnam, don't ever touch it. Not even worth the few bucks to rent it.

anyhing involving a tank bursting through a jungle in vietnam, running away from a flaming helicopter, has got to suck, because tanks weren't used in the jungles,it just wouldn't work

If you want a good Vietnam game, play Battlefield: Vietnam. It has the quality of Battlefield:1942 and allows you to play "Ride of the Valkyries" when piloting a helicopter. To me, that alone is worth playing it.

Yeah. My buddies and I were playing Halo and one of my friends mentioned that he just got Conflict Vietnam. So we put it on, and the contrast between the two games was so stark that we had to turn it off after just a few minutes. It really really really sucked.

Metal Arms, on the other hand, is a largely overlooked gem. I really enjoy the campaign mode. It's only drawback is that it does not have a system link mode. That would have made it an A+ game in my book. The number of weapons, and the variety of vehicles (and powerful robots you can take over,) is breathtaking. Controls are nearly identical to Halo with a double-jump thrown in as well.

The Medal of Honor series and Battlefield series let you play both sides. In fact, a mod was made for Battlefield:1942 that lets you play both sides of the Iraq conflict.

BF42 lets you play both sides without mod. there isnt a campaign included in this game, its almost pure MP. i didnt know about MoH. and haveing a mod isnt the same as the developer including one.
but that really is a good question, why is no campaign for both sides included in most game? Call of Duty, Shellshock, Hidden&Dangerous, Commandos, D-Day, all these games dont have one, and there are sure a lot more i cant remember right now.

btw cant wait for HOI2 :D
