Damn. He's less of a puppet than I thought. Maybe he knows Bush is going down?

How is Bush going down? By all accounts Kerry has not led this race since the end of the RNC. Bush will win the election 52-46%.

Rofl. You obviously read like one paragraph of that entire story. Allawi doesn't know shit. He's just trying to make sure the people don't blame him for it. However, when the Defense Minister states that it was the recruits own fault, because they left of their own volition and chose their own route, along with various other circumstances, I choose to believe him.

It's good to have dreams. Go back to sleep, to the dream land you inhabit.

Ah, so you admit that you agree with those that hold your opinion, and discount automatically those that disagree?

I read the whole thing, and it lead me to believe that there as perhaps dissention within the group, and you respond with, "However, when the Defense Minister states it was the recruits own fault...."

My point is that it doesn't matter who is right. It matters that they are no longer speaking with one voice.

Hehe, look at the exact same polls from 2000 a week before the election. Polls mean not a whole lot at this point. The poll of polls puts them in a dead heat. Not that it matters at this point. The number you should be looking at is Bush's job approval rating. That is the best indicator historically on whether a president gets elected or not. Since they have been tracking job approval rates (1939) only one has ever won re-election if their approval rating was under 50% (Truman) and last I checked the poll of polls on job approval ratings, Bush is at 47%. ;)
