In response to this thread (http://forums2.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=368421&page=1).

I am interested to see if people in the U.S. would change their vote if Bush was a Nazi.

Please feel free to explain your decision.

'discover' that bush was a nazi? how can you discover that? so as long as no one points it out, he's not, but as soon as you 'discover' it, he is. huh.
wow.

It's called a 'hypothetical" question.

Example: "What would you do if your spouse cheated on you?"

even i figured that out :p
the thing is though, with your example, you really 'discover' something that makes a whole big difference. but bush's hypothetical being a nazi or not.... that should already be expressed in his actions, and really, nothing would change, just because you label what he does - still hypothetically speaking. it would be like discovering he's a republican. nothing changes, it's just a name for what he believes in.
whereas a cheating husband...I'd turn into the nazi and send him off to some camp. jk.
