I've never had a flu shot in my life. I don't plan on getting one anytime soon. :)

Ya eh, in a little town just over the boarder in Sask, Americans were lined up for blocks just to get the shot.

Well, it doesn't look like Canada will be too much of a help....

Canada's largest vaccine producer, ID Biomedical, had contacted the Food and Drug Administration to say that it could spare 1.2 million doses. But with the U.S. shortfall estimated at 40 million doses, it was a little more than a gesture.

I was forced to get the flu vaccine while in the Army, but I never have and never will get it voluntarily.

Getting a flu shot, does not mean you wont get the flu this year.

My mom worked in the local Health Department for twenty years, so my info is correct.

A flu shot will only keep you from getting (usually) a particular strain of Influenza, wich can sometimes even be lethal, particularly in the old, and very young.

Most people dont need Flu shots.
Chicken soup and some nyquil will set you just fine.

Even with a Flu shot, you can still catcha different strain of Flu.

I didn't and I don't plan on getting one in the near future either. I think half of the flu vaccine hype is the drug companies and doctors just saying the upcoming flu season is going to be bad to profit off of the fear. Probaly half of the people who die of flu would have died of some other illness because most are un-healthy people anyway. The 1918 strain of flu is an exception to that.
