Has Today's Bungle By The Bush Administration Changed Anyone's Mind?

No one is going to change their mind over something like this. It would have to be sexual in some way...like Bush getting jiggy with an intern.

You're referring to the tons of explosives we should've been guarding instead of the Oil Ministry?

It doesn't matter now. We're too far polarized. This was demonstrated a while ago.

They asked a bunch of Bush voters if Saddam Hussein had WMD's. (Hint: he didn't!) But most of the supporters thought he did. They asked the Bushies if SH had links to Al Qaeda. (Hint: he didn't!) But most of the supporters thought he did. They asked the Bushies if the rest of the world likes the US (Hint: they don't!) Most of the Bush supporters thought the world did.

So in conclusion, even if this explosives story gets press, Bush voters will not listen to reasonable arguments. There are no undecided voters, just people who want attention.

They might've assumed that meant they were still voting Bush, not changing it.

I find it to be a relief that 2 out of 10 so far are changing their minds to Kerry (unless they misunderstood the options.)

It never changed my mind to begin with; I already think the administration is incompetent

I'm not aware of this story. Were they looking after the explosives for Osama in case they needed him to do another "job".

Chodolo is right, most Bush voters aren't going to be swayed by an issue actually relating to competence. A scandalous personal revelation on the other hand...

I wasn't voting for Bush to begin with....so, nothing changed. But it certainly wouldn't put me in Kerry's camp....

I'm not aware of this story. Were they looking after the explosives for Osama in case they needed him to do another "job".Naw, these were tons of Iraqi explosives that apparently while US forces were *ahem* preoccupied elsewhere some Iraqi's decided they had use for, presumably to battle some occuppying force, can't imagine who.

No matter ...

The neocons are about to be dealt a harsh blow by the following five words:

Secretary General William Jefferson Clinton.

Neocons always hated him, but the entire rest of the world loves him.

They're faced every day with the most powerful junior senator in the history of the Senate with Hillary and soon Bill will be in a position that the Republicon congress can do absolutely fuck all about.

When Bill is sworn in, it will be a proud day for progressive Democrats.

I guess I have been under the mistaken impression that troop deployment in Iraq is ordered by the commanding officers over there. Not sure of the heirarchy, I'll have to check with my husband tonight, but I didn't realize Bush was having to handle the placement of troops on top of everything else!! No wonder...the man must be close to death from exhaustion.

Oh...wait...silly me...you have nothing credible to say. This is just another Bush bash. Carry on and have fun. :p

...By the way, it seems like this is more of a poor reflection on the army as opposed to the Bush administration...

And I'd have to agree. Even if you point out why Bush is bad for almost every single social and domestic issue, noone takes heed.

I think I'm probably one of the few people who changes his mind about political/social/religious issues consistently (changes opinions consistently?) with the onset of new ideas/information...

The ability to see error/fault in your logic/data that you've collected is one of the most praiseworthy traits one can have.

Bullshit. The Administration sets the overall priorities and they were specifically and repeatedly warned about this particular threat. They did NOTHING. Now, maybe you would have a point if this was the only mistake they made in Iraq, but on top of everything else, this is inexcusable. It is compunded by their attempt to suppress it.

I hope, at least, the sand you have your head in is warm.

I don't think any of them are going to change their mind. From reading Bushite posts here and the articles buy neo-con columnists in newspapers, most of them seem to be more preoccupied with defeating liberalism than defeating terrorism.
