Why do men have nipples? Whats the point? Do they serve any purpose whatsover?
I dunno, but I certainly don't mind when ladies nibble on them.

They're vestigial organs, just like the appendix and the tail that some children are born with. They're evolutionary throwbacks in our genetic code that haven't been selected out because they don't provide any disadvantage.

Something along the lines of men have them because women need them. Before the gender of a fetus is determined we're all basically genderless blanks, but the blanks have nipples just in case. I'm no authority on the matter (obviously by my explantion), but that's how I've heard it explained.

Not that I'm any authority either, but it makes sense to me. Just like the clitoris is really an undeveloped penis.
There may not be a funtion per se for them, but hey they have nerves...

Well we are all female as fetuses. And at any rate, they are not entirely useless. Its been proven and documented that men can breastfeed if they train themselves to.

I saw an interesting program on animal planet's the most series. The show in question was the most extreme battle of the sexes. The number one species was a type of skink where there are no males anymore. The females now just lay eggs of genetic duplicates of themselves, no fertilization.
The show went on to compare the x chromosone to the y chromosone in humans.
They said that some scientists believe that the y chromosone is shrinking and may disappear some time in the future. That means than human males may become extinct... the time they suggested was 150,000 years in the future
