Here n North Dakota I never thought that the election with the President and the House would make people so "political". I've been able to deal with this until yesterday. Driving down one of the three busy streets where I live. I saw a van with a banner that said "Dorgan(Our Senator) is pro-abort" I was a little peeved since the idea of pro-abortion means in my mind that you want it to happen. But the worst part was that on the sides and back of the van. The person printed out and blew up a picture of an aborted fetus and put on the line. "This could've been your grandchild". I'm sorry but I believe that was horrificly rude, tasteless, and a slap in the face to many people who may have had to abort their child for any reason. The opposite side of the spectrum is if somebody had a picture of a decapitated American soldier that said "This could be your son." I guess what I'm asking is if anybody else has seen anything else so tasteless, Farenheit 9/11 doesnt count though.

Anyway, rant off.

Though Farenheit 9/11 and the tactics of both Bush and Kerry in trying to use American fear to their advantage are both trying to gain that spot.

Has anyone else seen the infomercials for the silver coin collection made from silver recovered from ground zero of the World Trade Centers? That's got to be the most tasteless thing I've ever seen.

yeah id have to consider that tops in the tasteless department. that might even get me to write a "letter to the editor" if i were subjected to it while driving

the most tacky thing that has happened to me so far was a tape phone call i got the other day promising that if i got 5 extra people to vote i could be in a drawing for a new ford mustang. i dont know who was making the offer but it seemed way too much like vote buying to me so i hung up.

Yep, I've seen those. That is pretty tasteless, although I can see why people would want it. My cousin collects coins and would freak out if he could get that. But I dunno, I find the idea of owning a coin that held a part in killing people a little disturbing.

The snake oil salesman Edwards saying flat out that if Kerry is elected, people like Christopher Reeve will walk again. That is tasteless, preying on the hopes of crippled people.

It was some guy from the Guardian. Its misleading for someone to say Britain is doing it, since it isn't Britain as a country, its a media outlet in Britain.

Dick Cheney's suggestions that a President Kerry would have let the Soviet Union endure, let Saddam Hussein conquer the Persian Gulf, and would have let terrorist attacks occur on American soil, in that order.

Here in Appalachia the NRA is distributing leaflets about Bush's position on gun rights. It refers to the Humane Society as an "extremist organization"! Not actually disgusting but pretty shocking nonetheless. We also have the leaflet about Democrats banning the Bible.

When I saw that, I at first thought it was one of SNL or MadTV's more tasteless skits...I have no clue who would purchase something like that.

Uh huh...I see you know nothing about stem cell research beyond it kills babies. Far more tasteless is Bush restricting stem cell research.

I'm actually a Bismarck kid. But all that means is that this douche is making rounds all over the state, either that or he has friends. All I know is that if I see it again, my parents better have some money to bail me out in case I get arrested, cause there's absolutely no need for that kind of extreme attack on the poor guy. Conservatives hating Liberals, and Liberals hating Conservatives...Why can't we all get along?
