Just so you know, a Nipponophile is someone who is very interested in Japanese culture. I happen to be one. What about you?

You can say Japanophile if you want to. I just call it Nipponophile because Nippon is the actual Japanese name for Japan.

I love anime but I can't say I like Japanese culture very much. I'm told that it is practically the anti-thesis of anarchism.

I've always wanted to try Fugu.

I don't think that's all true. I've been to Japan and sure the people there are more polite than in America and you have to be born there to be a citizen, but that doesn't mean there's no anarchy.

Are you crazy?! It's extremly toxic if it's not properly prepaired and you only have a 50/50 chance of living if you get poisoned.

I don't plan on ordering it from someone with Parkinson's Disease. Heh. But if people are willing to risk DEATH then I gotta know what all the fuss is about.

At the risk of sounding overly nationalistic, (I am, but in a cuddly teddy-bear kind of way and not in a racist or discriminatory way,) Norse culture pwns Japanese culture (I'm a Norwegian.)

I'm not talking about politeness, I'm talking about the xenophobia and social hierarchy, really.

Alot of the people I met weren't xenophobic towards me or my dad, though you do have a point with heirachy thing. Sometimes I wish I was a Japanese citizen, but you have to be born there to be one. Oh well, America's good too... I guess; if you leave out all the stereotypical American red-neck jerks. *sigh*

It would certainly be cool to be able to make manga, though.

I wonder how many people even know what Nippon is. Silly Westerners... or... I'm not white... I swear.
