Poll bias

What do you think? I've done a bit of reading, and this is my best guess of how the major polls are biased:

Zogby: Moderate Dem bias
American Research Group: Small Dem bias
Rasmussen: Small Repub bias
Quinnipiac: Moderate Repub bias
Survey USA: Alternates between Dem and Repub bias. Latest polls are extremely Repub bias.
Gallup: Extreme Repub bias (except for that brief period where they stopped overpolling Republicans)
Mason-Dixon: Extreme Repub bias
Strategic Vision: Extreme Repub bias

Well, I think Zogby is pretty straight down the middle, because he admits what the problems are with the polling construct and yet doesn't make excuses. He was also the closest in 2000, which tells me he's more concerned with getting it right than with promoting a point of view.

Gallup is a tool, no question, and I think you're about right on the others, except for SUSA. I think they've just got a flawed system--it's the only way I can figure that they're so inconsistent.
