Pearls Before Swine

Father forgive me
Mother forsake me
I think they've all become to strong
Brother believe me
Silence is deadly
And it's giving me the strength to carry on
Time has come, now I'm blind deaf and numb
Your killing me, your killing me
When I look into your eyes I can see it's
The world that you despise
And your giving me the strength to carry on
Forgive me...
Look for the devils in their eyes,
Laughing, the blood has long been dried
To hide in your disguise it goes on and on and on....
Wallow, pearls before swine
If the liar deceives you
The the sin will appear true
Even if it leads me to the end
Killer accuse me
The devil breathes easy
Giving me the strength to carry on
Time has come, now I'm blind deaf and numb
Your killing me, your killing me
When I look into your eyes I can see it's
The world that you despise
And your giving me the strength to carry on
Look for the devils in their eyes,
Laughing, the blood has long been dried
To hide in your disguise it goes on and on and on....
Wallow, pearls before swine
Now you've blown away the sun
Darkened eyes and bitten tongue
Now you've blown away the son

Vengeance is a song best sung complete/
but the angel of my nightmares won’t let me sleep/
When death’s door has finally been closed, time may return once more/
To the way my dreams would have it be.
It was just one long nightmare, my dreams, and me.
I walked a bit closer to that line of death/one cold winter day
Looked across the street, there was death, smiling at me/
A tiger-striped cat down by his feet/ content to have his soul, finally free
Death grinned and walked on his way/ but the cat remained, staring at me
A thousand lives reflected in its eyes/a thousand deaths, mirroring my pain
I don’t know what I expected to find/
But they were all dead, and in my mind/
It had happened eternities ago.
I stepped back from the ledge and found myself/ a bit closer to heaven, a bit further from death.

No I cant take the credit for this one.

That was Corrosion of Conformity.

I'll see if I can find something of my own, thats not too craptastic.

Roses are red
Violets are blue
Some poems rhyme
And some don't.

Ok.

Little pre-emptive message for ya.

I NEVER do this sort of thing. (Posting anything Ive written online)
Much of what Ive written is crap.

Im no poet.
I write lyrics.
The following is a couple of verses, in no particular order.

*edited for crap*

Far away, my eyes are taken to the places I once knew.
Where life was golden, and we danced,
in a world that was brand new.

Safe away in sheltered days, we knew not of the rain.
The cold that dwells in the hearts of men,
only grasped at us in vain.

But innocence, like time is lost, when the dreams of youth are gone.
and the greed of the age becomes the sage if listened to for long.

So teach us not to look away when the voice of need is heard,
and show us what it truly means,
when we pledge to keep our word.

Thats it.

It was written a very long time ago, when I was less bitter, and the tune that accompanied it was a mellow one.

Shards

All my life I have been torn
From many places, many people
From friends and boyfriends
Family friends and family members
Shattering and scattering my heart
The many pieces glistning
as each is held by a different person
In a different place
For a different cause
Humanity's Blessing . . . to know love
Humanity's Curse . . . To lose a piece of thyself to it
But fear of pain seems not a reason to avoid life
Death after all is painless.
