Speaking of evolution, have you seen the cover story of this month's National Geographic? All it says is "Was Darwin Wrong?" I'll give you a hint--the article is not a defense of intelligent design. :D

What kind of OP is that? There are so many reasons that you could hate science? Are you religious? Do you hate things for no reason? Are you incapable of comprehending your own insignificance? Did a scientist touch you? Without anything to debate except "science sucks" this thread is going to die or be killed really quickly.

Oh yes, I don't dispute that. I know, cause I've been to the edge and back. It's quite a nice view, with a lovely mist rising from the soundless waterfall. And the stars look so close! You should really try sometime. But do we have this written down somewhere? I mean, how do people who've never seen the edge of the world know it's actually flat?

It's on some of those old maps they used to make before they were replaced by the so-called 'modern' fake maps produced from fictional space vehicles.

All lies, of course, perpetuated by the Freemasons. Everyone in their right mind knows that you can reach the edge a few thousand miles off the west coast of the US, if you don't get eaten by a sea dragon first.

I've never understood where this argument comes from. Is it supported in the Bible?

Not really. It most likely derives from the idea that we, as the most important part of creation, should be in the center. Earth should be the center of the universe with everything revolving around us, and Europe/North Africa should be roughly located at the center of the earth. A spherical earth however does not support such a centrist notion.

And of course, earth is in a backwater region of the universe ;)

The Earth isn't spherical. Have you ever been in a plane? It looks flat to me, even from up high.

If Earth was flat the horizon would be much further away. Also I heard that flat Earth probably comes from "The four corners of the Earth" being interpreted literally.

Without science many of the things we have today would be non existent..now Religion thats something I fine stupid...more people have been killed in the name of "My religion is right and yours is wrong" than anything else...and not one religion has any proof what so ever that any of its claims are true and most claims can be explained through science
