Letter from a Democrat

I am a senior citizen. During the Clinton
Administration I had an extremely
good and well-paying job.

I took numerous vacations and had several
vacation homes.

Since President Bush took office, I have
watched my entire life change for the worse.

I lost my job.

I lost my two sons in that terrible Iraqi War.

I lost my homes.
I lost my health insurance.

As a matter of fact I lost virtually
everything and became homeless.

Adding insult to injury, when the
authorities found me living like an animal,

Instead of helping me, they arrested me. @@####

I will do anything that Senator Kerry wants
to insure that a Democrat is back
in the White House come next year.

Bush has to go.

Sincerely,
Saddam Hussein

So brilliant. Not saying I wholeheartedly agree, but nevertheless it's extremely clever.

If only you hadn't made the title "Letter from a Democrat." I'm sorry, but I really resent the implication that Hussein is or would be a member of the Democratic Party.

And we resent the implication that Bush is a Neo-Nazi Hitler baby-eating anti-Christ, but hey, slander is only bad against Democrats right?

If you can find where I have ever made that implication, then you can demand and expect an apology. If not, then fuck yourself.

It wasn't specifically directed at you, mainly Democrats in general. But either way, I don't care if you're offended that Saddam is being cast as a Democrat, since it's just a joke anyway.

LOL, yeah that is funny *g*

And Saddam H was elected democratically. 3 from 3 mps had voted for him after he shot the opposition.

*dreamyeyes* yes, saddam had taste. You will never find a better and more stylish badboy in the world after he had been gone. Castro is to friendly and Putin has not a bit of the style saddam had. And gaddaffi really looks like he went to the good guys *yuck*

Not that I believe democrats inherently have it easier for saddam, it was hilarious reading the last line.

Eh, excuse me, slander is only bad unless its TRUE!!!

Bush has to go.

But the important issue here is that Saddam would hardly be any better off regardless who wins the election. Its not like hes coming back to power. I truly hope everyone realizes that, and I find it disturbing that I even feel a need to point this out.

This is an incredibly important election for the US, and actually slightly relevant to the rest of the world. So it is your duty as a free* people to inform yourselves on what you are actually voting for! So turn off Fox and open your eyes. This election shouldn't be as close as it is...

God bless America!

*Well, apart from the fact that you have no choice in what information you are given and never see the whole picture in your media. But at least you have the option and possibility to educate yourselves if you want to. Oh, and that your electoral system is based on money, not votes. And that you are subjected to the same type of propaganda that Goebbels and Hitler used 65 years ago in order to make you agree with your corporately appointed government. Ok, maybe I shouldnt have used the word free, but perhaps someday you will learn the meaning of democracy and be as free as we are in Europe :)

Jeez, lighten up people. It was a joke.

BTW I thought it was hilarous.

I think the humor is lost on some Republicans who don't realize the story is easily true to some extent for many American citizens.

The humor is lost on me because the tactic of linking Saddam Hussein with a Democrat has already been used in an election--effectively, I might add. It's crap, and it's beneath them. I objected just as loudly when I saw the ad during the Moveon contest--the ad that was never considered for broadcast I might add--that compared Bush to Hitler. That was crap, and so is this.
