Haha...that's the good old U.S. of A. for ya. You can fight and die for your country at 17 (maybe even 16, not sure about that), but can't have a beer legally until you're 21. Go figure.
Yeah totally sucks...ONLY SIX MORE YEARS TO AMERICAN DRINKING AGE! COUNT DOWN!

Oh, I did drink for both occasions. Just not legal. The age may be 21 to drink but most cops do not care. They probably did the same things when they were underage. The only thing that will change is that I will be doing so legally.

and you can drink beer in germany with 16 legally. but this law isnt much enforced so you can in reality drink beer at any age if you really want to.

26 too, but last time I went to buy some wine they asked me to show my ID. In other words the cashier thought I was under 18...

Do they still have this agelimit system that you can get into clubs when you're under 18 but they at midnight they come to find you and kick you out? That's what we were told anyway. But we pretented that we couldn't understand and just kept talking in Finnish until they got tired and let us in.

The "21 drinking age" is the most laughable piece of legislation ever written (besides the 18th Amendment itself).
I shall be drunk as a skunk on election day...although I am sending in my absentee ballot this weekend. :p

yeah that law is still in place. and you were lucky that they didnt kick you out. normally its ´if you have doubt, kick them out. dont take risks´
