Theresa Heinz-Kerry

Why have they not put a muzzle on this idiot? Who is she going to insult next?
She insults Mrs. Bush by stating that she did not think she had ever had a "real" job. Thus insulting teachers/librarians as well.
Then she "apologises" by stating that being a teacher/librarian is an important job. By doing this she insulted stay-at-home mothers who consider raising their children to be a "real" job.
I am starting to feel sorry for Kerry for being married to this moron. One thing is clear, money cannot by class or intelligence.

wait, what did she say? because you are implying that by praising teachers/librarians (who are NOT always female), Teressa was insulting stay at home moms...that doesn't make sense to me. if her statement included some slam against stay at home mothers then that's different, i haven't read the statement.

This hasn't been an election campaign, it's been a campaign of slander... each side trying to make the other side look worse, instead of trying to make themselves look better.
Damn rich bastards.

Biff's correct in his statement. Kerry was insinuating that homemaking is not a real job.

Technically it's a job. they get paid for it in britain-Child support.

She stated that Mrs. Bush did not have a "real" job and just stayed at home. The fact that she worked outside the home AND raised two daughters is job enough for most. Stay at home mothers have REAL jobs. Much harder than most who work outside the home.

ahh, i see. thanks for clearing that up...it does seem like she made a politically bad move in saying that.
Stay at home mothers have REAL jobs. Much harder than most who work outside the home.
now THAT i must disagree with. i think a woman who works AND raises children has it much harder than a woman who can devote all her energy to one or the other; both have the same responsibilities, but the one with both job and children must give up much more of her personal time (and sleep time :P) to fulfill those responsibilities. i think you are undervaluing working mothers...just because Teressa undervalued stay-at-homes doesn't mean you would be right for making the opposite assertion.

Yes she has made several bad statements....telling the reporter to "shove it" when he caught her in a lie was one of my favorites.
She has no concept of what the average person in this country does on a daily basis nor how we live. She and her husband would be a disaster in the White House.

meh, Cheney dropped the f-bomb. i don't much care about these little tantrums.

and you think Bush or his wife have an idea what the common man is up to?! get over it; both candidates are ludicrously elitest, and neither one has the faintest idea what it is like to be an average person in this country.

Its fairly ironic that someone, who let's face it, has spent the bulk of her life basically behaving like a high class prositute feels the need to look down on everyone else now she's hit the "jackpot."
On the other hand what do you expect from euro-trash.

I really don't care about the tantrums. I think electionering would be more interesting if candidates showed their "true" sides during elections.
As to the common man comment; couldn't have said it any better!
I find it interesting that conservatives and now I guess Liberterians consider the stay at home mom a holy figure.
Yet they seem to think that economics that force mothers into the workplace is ok.

Yeah well like it or not, try and explain that on your resume, it hurts in most situations. Even more so if you're an "at home dad".

Th Labour Party had started abandoning Socialism as far back as the 60's. Possibly even earlier.

Ah, but I wasn't looking down, I was pointing out the irony - which is different.
No irony there. Though it's ironic your tried to point out the irony of the whole situation.
