I'm in a devil's advocate kind of mood, apparently.. As far as statistics go, polls are generally pretty worthless; especially the Presidential race polls, for a variety of reasons. In this case, 20% of respondants are female, but that only includes the number of people who bothered to click the link to the poll.

And with that, I agree. Though, I must admit I'm confused occasionally by the vehemence with which some of these ideals are argued. I mean, if this board is seriously populated by 15 year olds (who had the quote that said if you're under 30 and not a liberal you have no heart, but if you're over 30 and not a conservative you have no brain?), have they had time to have the party lines so emblazened on them that any argument against them is seen as a personal attack?

I'm so glad Brave New World is the most liked book by the nationstates community. The part where the main character stops whipping himself and hangs himself is a great social commentary on a nation that is in constant "pursuit of happiness."
