Seems it's a fairly liberal forum, with a smattering of conservatives, socialists, fascists, and anarchists.

When conservstive Idea are in my best interest, then I support them. The same is said for liberal Ideas. Anyone should be able to express their Ideas. Just don't expect eveyone to agree with them.

Id say its a combination of centrists, liberals, and social democrats. Unfortunately this poll doesnt have the option of some sort of social democratic party or Id think youd see that one as the big winner.

Personally I said the democrats since they were the most left-wing party there, but in comparing them to other nations the democrats are pretty conservative.

Uh, your poll is really only for Americans. There are lots of liberals outside of the US that don't identify with the US Democrats and there are a lot of conservatives that don't relate to the US Republicans...

its pretty much a liberal board. There are a fair amount of conservatives and conservative regions and alliances though. Every now and then we get a small invasion of neo-nazi facists. That's always entertaining. I wonder where they are now, its been a while since I've seen a bunch of white-powe rI hate everyone threads.

Beg pardon, but while that is in your explanation, it is not in your topic title or poll question.

Comment # 2 - You left out the correct answer, which is...

Market Liberal... not really an option... I don't even really not what I am classified as, but out of the conventional ones i would say Liberterian and out of those listed I guess Independent although I don't know who is running.

Aye. Mostly liberals on these boards. And in game.

Though I disagree with the generic Republican:conservative/Democrat:liberal definition.

and tends to be younger, most likely college students.

two things to remember about the US on this age group

1.Winston Churchill "to be young and conservative is to be heartless, to be old and liberal is to be brainless."

2. Around 51 percent of the voting age electorate turned out in the 2000 election, 2 percentage points higher than in 1996 but 4 points lower than the 1992 election.
The conventional wisdom is that higher turnout generally helps Democratic candidates because it draws in voters who are younger and less educated -- constituencies that generally favor Democrats---AP

so much for the liberal=intelligent/educated argument that seems to be spouted on here. statistically speaking in the US, that couldn;t be further from the truth, its' the exact opposite. i was a full on left winger in college. then when one gets a job, owns some property, starts a family, and learns more about the world outside of college than anyone in it ever could, you cease that nonsense, lol.

but young college students are suposed to be left wing (note the lack of usage of the word liberal....the modern left ain't liberals, they're nieve, often idealistic and unaware of the real world, but their hearts are in the rigth place, at least.)

true "liberals" are the centrists of american politics, the john mccains, etc., who want what is best for the country, not best for the party/special interest group both sides do now. i believe , and many pragmatists like me, are the real "liberals", and being a liberal is a good thing.

the european left.....they can't even see their philosophies are killing many of the old europe countries (france, spain, etc.) due to dead economies, tiny birth rates, overburdened welfare systems, etc.....hardly liberals, more like leftists.

I don;t think the modern left or the modern right fit the conservative or liberal definition anymore. more like the fascist extreme wings of politics, on BOTH sides.

AND I HATE I HAVE TO PICK BETWEEN THESE TWO CANDIDATES!

but you would think those who claim intelligent would investigate why their fellow leftists in countries they have taken hold in are FAILING.......that would be when they stop being leftist, like so many on this board, i guess.

To Everyone who keeps telling me how not everyone is U.S. yadda yadda yadda: I KNOW! Jeez! And all i did was pair COnservative with Republican and Liberal with democrat because in the U.S. Political system they mostly ARE!
And notice how i said they were members or supporters OF. THat means they could be FRENCH for all i care and like Democrats! The support part is for non-U.S. citizens!

Jeez! I ask a simple question and you guys go all technical on me...
