Start with 100 points.

1. If your religion is atheistic, +5 points.
2. If your religion is polytheistic, +5 points.
3. If your religion is monotheistic, +5 points.
4. If your religion is a confusing mix of monotheism with polytheistic philosophies, -5 points.
5. If your religion shows absolute tolerance for all other religions and can prove it as such liturgically, +10 points.
6. If your religion requires only the self for enlightenment, +10 points.
7. If your religion has more than 1 rule, -10 points.
8. If your religion's doctrine can be misinterpreted to give elite groups power, -100 points.
9. If your religion gives the death penalty for anything, -20 points.
10. If your religion separates the divine and mankind, -10 points.
11. If your religion puts limitations on mankind, such as the inability to obtain perfection, -10 points.

As a "born-again" atheist, I heard the great Bertrand Russell's words echo in my mind:

"Of the great religions of history, I prefer Buddhism, especially in its earliest forms, because it has had the smallest element of persecution."

No religion is best. Religion is personal, thus is different for every person. As well, the first religions were created by man to explain what they could not explain with science. Man was not created in the image of God. God was created in the image of man.

Actually your all wrong Spiritual Satanism is the best. the only way to have a real vote is to disclude christianity, because most of those were born into it and never really decided for themselves. either that, or break it into sections--catholocism, baptist, Calvinist, etc.

This thread is so stupid. I must say, though, although I am jewish I voted Islam because of their prophet system, which accepts all religions and, unlike christianity and judaeism, rejects none.

I have me own religion thank you. Hey, it's America and I have the freedom of religion, you have a problem, take it up with the Founding Fathers. It's a religion without a God.

So in other words, I voted other.

This is basically a, "What Religion Are You?" thread, one would obviously follow the religion they consider the best.

For me, Other; more specifically Ancient Egyptian/Sumerian Paganism; or as it is more commonly called, Spiritual Satanism.
