The 2004 Corruption Perception Index tells how corrupted your nation is. US seems to be 17th with Belgium and Ireland, above of i.e. France and Spain but losing to all nordic countries, Germany and Canada.

Is anyone surprised? Should some nations be ranked higher or lower?

Tanzania, equal 90th. Should be way higher. But then, I guess businessmen don't know much about that because they don't have dealings with them - herein lies the flaw in the survey.
