It works just as well for radio...I thought this up on the way home, listening to Michael Savage.

How to be an AM radio pundit:

1) 'Repetition' is the one-word rule you need to adhere to most. If there's one thing that we've gotten from religion (failing at the "Love thy neighbor," and "Turn the other cheek" lessons as we have), it's that repeating something over and over again while labeling it "Truth" makes it so. You may need to work in those more "fact-impaired" truths, though, as follows:

"You know, John Kerry looks like the kind of man who would eat kittens." -later- "Well, that's the kind of thing a kitten-eater like Kerry would do." -later still- "Go ahead, caller, what do you have to say about kitten-eater Kerry?" -culminating in- "Look, we all know that Kerry eats kittens..."

It's really quite simple.

2) There is no gray. Things can be broken down into one thing or the other, people are one group or the other, and it's as simple as that (see rule three).

3) Rules fleet as smoke from one's grasp if they attempt to wield them against you. A black and white worldview is vital, for example, unless someone calls you on it. Then they're the racist for thinking to point it out, and accusing them as such gives you time to backpedal .

4) As illustrated above, if anyone brings up a good point contrary to yours, the best counter is a good baseless attack. Keep 'em on the defensive, so you don't have to be.

5) If the above fails, a mighty AM radio host wields the cut-off button as a mighty sword.

6) Hypocrisy, hatred, racism/sexism, conspiracy, and the like are dirty, crazy Liberal words, unless you have to use them. For a light-hearted example, jokes made about Bush are juvenile and stupid, but you're just lightening up your show when spending half an hour or so making fun of Theresa Heinz-Kerry's accent.

7) Most of the country agrees with you, and in the spirit of rule one, it's important to remind the Liberals, feminazis, fags, lezzies, and other pesky minorities of this (lest any moderates actually take a headcount).

I had a bunch more, but they all distill down to some derivation of these.
