What's with all the Neo-Conservative Clap-trap Suddenly?
Seriously. There's a whole lot of brand new posters here who seem to be mouthing the typical party line down to the "t".
I think they know their days are numbered.
Thanks, by the way, to the ultra-conservative movement. By awakening America to the dangerous possibilities of a swing to the far right, it has probably advanced the cause of liberalism everywhere.
Isn't reverse psychology great, folks?

Perhaps you have a point, but it really seems like you're saying something akin to "it was good that Hitler took power, because it stopped being fashionable to hate Jews in Europe."
Unfair to the far-right in America, I know. However, things often get worse before they get better.

Virtually any argument or statement can be made to look bad if you start applying it to absolutes and extremes, you know.
Really though, the ads have been getting nastier on TV too. I just saw one today slandering "Kerry and his Liberal allies" all the way from the 80s to now. It wasn't so much an anti-Kerry ad as an anti-liberal ad, clearly declaring that all liberals are anti-American scum.

Neo-conservative is a polite euphemism for "fascist".

Well, one ought to take the good out of even the worse situations. I mean, the Jews got a nice state out of the deal, with colourful neighbours and everything. Be positive ;)
More importantly; what a wonderful name you have. Shoving Machiavelli together with Giovanni's family, eh?

Yes, thank you. :) The Prince was the very first political science book I read for fun; I still look back at it from time to time. And when staring blankly at the "name your nation" field; I figured, what's wrong with placing a minister with his intended patron? It seems to have gone over well since then, so I'm pleased.
