I voted no; I'm such a pessimist.

This just in: the first votes are in already, and its looking positive for the negative side of the debate.

So you could say, this barely qualifies as news.

Neither, here's why:

Yes is an understatement. Yes what? Yes to you, No to him. Yes to my dog, but not to my brother. Why should I say yes to anyone or anything? Am I marrying someone, No! Am I eating anyone? No! Am I a girl? No! So why should I bother saying yes to anything anymore? It only leads to more and more problems in this world. Imagine what the world would be like if Adolf's mother said "NO" to Hitler's dad. Imagine what would have happened if Hitler's mother said "NO" to that abortion? Well we saw what happened, didn't we? Didn't like it did ya?

No is a big YES because I love saying No, but thats positive toward the negative. Thus, a posi-nega-tive. That just makes no sense. What if I went up to your face and said "NO". Wouldn't like that now would you? I didn't think so. So please, next time you say No, think of the poor kittens Domo kills when you look at pornography. For porn inflates the porn companies and causes the wife of the President of said company to sleep worried about whether or not the husband will arive soon or not. Please, think of the wife.

For the past half-century, our nation has been saying "yes." It's been "yes" day in and day out. We said yes to Europe. We said yes to China. We even said yes to our own children.

And now look what's happened. The events of Sept. 11th taught us that we could no longer afford to say yes. Tears come to my eyes, thinking about how we all stood, arm in arm, and whispered "no" that fateful night. For the last four years we've been standing tall and saying "no." And we're winning the War on Assent.

Now is not the time to send mexed missages over the Internets. Now is the time to say no, and to say no firmly, loudly, and strongly. No. No.

For America's sake, no!

For the past half-century, our nation has been saying "sex." It's been "sex" day in and day out. We said "sex" to Europe. We said "sex" to China. We even said "sex" to our own children.

And now look what's happened. The events of Sept. 11th taught us that we could no longer afford to say sex. Tears come to my eyes, thinking about how we all stood, arm in arm, and whispered "protection" that fateful night. For the last four years we've been standing tall and saying "protection." And we're winning the War on Assent.

Now is not the time to send mexed missages over the Internets. Now is the time to say protection, and to say no firmly, loudly, and strongly. Protection. Protection.

For America's sake, protection!

The statement the you put as a poll was Please vote: Yes or No so if you answered NO why would you say YES to voting NO? SO if you voted NO you are probably schitzofrenic. All the YES to NO ppl out there did not think that if they belived in NO then why did they vote in the first place? YES is more logical, and NO should NOT be the opposite of YES anymore.

YES is more logical, and NO should NOT be the opposite of YES anymore.

My top advisers assure me that the true opposite of 'Yes' is in fact 'Pancakes'. At first they were divided, but I have been assured that now all my advisers agree to this theory.

On an unrelated note, a few desks in their office have become suddenly vacant. My advisers are looking into it as we speak.

Ptch.

All these damned 'Yes' people are what's wrong with the world these days.

May we invade your country?

May we have a pay rise?

May we have a democratic government?

May we use giant pandas as a mode of transportation?

I rest my case.

my universal default vote on everything remains as always: "maybe"
and conditional on the kind of world its resaults would most likely contribute to

it is not the unconventional that is harmful
but conventionality that is denyal of the diversity of reality

At this stage of the debate, both sides of the issue have made very convincing arguments supporting their respective cases.

However, the 'Yes' camp are now firmly in the lead, which is definitely a positive result for them. Can the 'No' camp recapture their early lead? Our sources are saying: "No".

In other news, a sizeable 'bump' was recorded in the vicinity of this thread earlier today.

As for the poll: I'm still remaining neutral on the subject, even if the answer seems obvious to me.

Geez all of you are ignorant and obviously less educated than moi. The question is actually Yes or Watermelons? See, yes is not positive, but affirmative, and yes can be infirmative in a negative way, and since no is classified as negative it is simply ridiculous to state that no is the negative of yes.

AND MIGHT I ADD: Blah blah blah blah blah blah BLAH blah blh (typo) blahdeeblahbloody blah.

So here it is: 'bump'
