Why am I doing this? Because I feel that we have all lost our rationality, and debating here is neither fun, nor stimulating. Maybe I'll come back after Christmas. After all, I have a pile of books screaming my name. So, goodbye for now. I'm sure that real debate can begin again sometime over Christmas.

True enough, I'm afraid. It seems to be, for the most part, a sad parroting of Crossfire: Ideas are unwelcome; instead, we simply scream at each other across the chasm of our belief systems.
Sad but true. Too many people let their emotions get in the way of a real exchange of ideas in a debate setting. Just works out that way, oh well.
Although I have to say, from what I've seen, Purly hasn't exactly been a bastion of sanity in the stormy sea of raging emotions (and hormones) that is NS discussion...
