I'm not too sure about that. I know I personally don't "hate" anyone on here, and I certainly hope that no one hates me! True, the um ... discussions, get a bit heated at times, but that's a function of deeply held beliefs and this limited method of communication. Face-to-face, I suspect there would be a bit more give and take.

in my experience, if you have been in General for more than a month and nobody hates you then you are doing something wrong.

I agree.. that is why I personally always forgive.. not for them, yet for me. However when we assume to know people based on a message board on the Internet I believe we are only fooling ourselves.. because what people say on the net, is not always who they really are in real life. It's silly to make absolute assumptions based on nothing more then an Internet persona.

This is very true, especially where closely held beliefs are concerned. It's virtually impossible to adequately expess yourself in a short period of time in such a limited space, which makes it easy to assume the person is abrupt, antagonistic and opinionated.

oh i cant be bothered to hate anyone, here or elsewhere. (not even george bush really, although it is close)

the only reason to hate someone is if they do you wrong. in my experience anyone who does wrong to someone like ME (since im not in a position to affect very many other people) is going to get his comeuppance from life, i dont need to do anything to them.

to get all invested in hating other people is a waste of time and emotion.
