Why you should vote!

U.S. Ambassador to Afghanistan Zalmay Khalilzad said this progress ( the Afghani election ) was in spite of al Qaeda and Taliban threats to disrupt the election. The ambassador said some Afghans prepared themselves for death – washing themselves and saying prayers – before going to the polls.

Would you vote under circumstances like these? All you have to do to vote in America is register and show up at the nearest polling place on election day.

its your constitutional right.

if i could vote (ill be 18 only a few months after the election!!!!!!!) i would probably vote for Bush if there was only bush and kerry -- but since I support the 3rd party struggle i would vote for Badnarik.

You are free to vote for whomever you choose. Where the problem comes in is when the person for whom you choose to vote may not be on the ballot in your State.

When I was thinking about how to structure my Nation on NationStates, I decided that political parties would be outlawed and people could vote for anyone they chose. If no candidate garnered a clear majority of the vote, a runoff election would be held between the two highest vote-getters. Kewl, eh? :)

It's so sad what the terrorists are doing about the election in Afghanistan... but it's so nice how people are still doing it.

Before they voted, many people were preparing for death before they voted by praying, etc... :(

Get those terrorist scum off the earth, dammit! :mp5:
