Ahh, okay... I thought you might be referring to something along the lines, but I didn't want to go out on a limb and sound stupid if I was wrong.

What do you have?

I have this lesser known RCA Lyra (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B00008VFCS/qid=1097891057/sr=1-1/ref=sr_1_1_etk-electronics/102-0971918-2091351?v=glance&s=electronics&n=172282) for $80 from RadioShack.

It's 128 MB or four hours, whatever's bigger at the time of loading files. I've managed to get 3 1/4 hours of music on it via WMP. I like it.

iPods suck. I've got a Dell DJ. It's so awsome. But it freezes up sometimes. But you can fix that with just a paperclip.

Yeah, they're so overpriced; I got my guitar before I got my MP3 player. I bought the latter, my 'rents bought the guitar. It's acoustic, but, it's a beauty.

MP3 Player? Hmm. Moves some old empty beer cans, picks up two week old pizza box, AH YES, MP3 player.

Hmm, lets see. A little pepperoni, some spilt beer, a few items of "who knows". A few buttons, a display window, some kind of shiny metallic surface, and whats this? A shriveled up shroom.

I have an extra strong affinity for The Shadow.
The weed of crime bears bitter fruit.
Crime does not pay....
The Shadow knows. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
or the infamous opening-
Who knows what evil lurks in the hearts of men? The Shadow knows.....hhahahhahhaahahahahahaha

If you go to Live365.com Knotted Note Radio is one of the better station, featureing X-Minus One, Suspense, Escape, and detective shows like The Lyon's Eye and the premise stretching Yours Truly, Johnny Dollar-the story of a freelance insurance adjuster told through his expense account. I swear I didn't make that up.

For added NationStates relevance you can also occasionally hear I Was a Communist for the FBI, a propaganda riddled 'true' account of an FBI agent who was undercover as a communist.

You also get to hear why people think the tobacco industry owes them money-because they where lying to them- (We tested 15 smokers of Camel cigarettes over 90 days and found no ill effects. Camel, the healthiest cigarette....real ad.)

I recomend it (old radio plays), they're pretty flippin' cool.

Various Bach, Mozart, Saint-Sans, and others
Lots of classic rocks
Some pop ballady type stuff

Actually, I lie, I have a CD walkman. It plays re-writables so I just make a new compilation every few days. I'm quite happy with this as it doesn't involve me spending £200.

Now now, don't go assuming all us mp3 toters are rich... I picked my Creative brand one for AU$100 (which is... what? US$70?).

I'd use my cassette player, 'cept it's too bulky (I'm clumsy and would totally drop it within a few minutes of taking it out to listen to). On the other hand, my mp3 player is all small and spiffy (still only fits about one cd's worth of songs on it... but I can change them every week or so, so it's all good).

And I've forgotten my point. So, instead of a proper conclusion, I'll just point out that iPods are stupid, and that Creative makes better quality stuff for less (and has been making sound systems for years, unlike Mac).

I bought my CD player for £23. That's about $48. This crippled my budget for that month.

So when I say "rich" I mean "pretty much everyone". :D

Believe it or not, I play both Electric and Double Bass. I currently own a Sqier Jazz Bass (want a Fender American Vintage Percision), and am ready to invest in my own standup. I'm into classic rock, and classical music. Nothing newer than 15 years.

School preformances, eh? I remember playing "Barbara Ann" on an overamped electric .bass in High School Band. All you could hear was bass, drums, and trumpet. Good Times
