Ha, I just read a thread talking about our countrys (The US') decline, well it might decline in NNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! Dont you get it, its like a coke machine it has to rock back and forth a few times before it falls down, and judging by how long Europe has been going back and forth and by how many times they've changed they're government, looks like weve got a good, hmm lets see here, maybe 5000 YEARS! Maybe every time something bad happens over here, or every time we lose money in the stock market you want our country to tip over and think its done for now! Why? Many countrys have been doing worse than us, look at Russia, Japan, which has been declining for at least 20 years but noone notices because they wait for the US to gain some debts.J/k
Well, how about this, when Europe becomes as rich and prosperous as us, and becomes the worlds biggest superpower and has tons of immigrants flooding in every day, you can stand on top of the Statue of Liberty and yell, hey were better than you now! But until than, stop dreaming and cut the crap. :headbang: :headbang: :headbang:

Good point on the potentail longevety of the USA as the worlds dominant power. Rome once was, Britian once was, Mongolia once was....
Is anybody seeing a theme here? Someday, the USA will no longer be the top dog. Someone stronger and/or better will come along to supplant us, as we have supplanted those that came before.

It is people like him that makes Europe dislike us, the people that say "America is the greatest place on Earth and will always be until the end of time." Inaddition to the George Bush brand of World Police Foriegn policy and the general belief that we are loud and disrespectful. I'm not saying I dislike America, by the way, just saying that maybe some thought would be nice.

20 years ago was 1984. Americans were beginning to fear the Japanese economy- afraid the Japanese were going to buy up everything and overcome the US as top world market. Hardly the 20 year decline you claim it is.

Japan is against some major issues. The suicide rate is horrendous, and it's simply over capitilized (yeah, that's probebly not even a word. Hell with it :p).
