Debates

Just wonderng if there are any undecided voters out there (esp. on this site). Are you going to place a lot of importance on the last debate? Also, is there any thing missing in the debates. Would you like the candidates to ask eachother questions? Should they be more focused, or less? In fact are the debates just an utter waste of time as politicians just repeat their catchphrases?

And also post your opinions and their changes after the third debate.

Good watching.

I am leaning towards Kerry, but I think that the debate allows each candidate to fairly present their platform. It allways seem they shift the question to answer what they want to answer.

I would really like the people to argue with the candidates durring the second debate. Leave the first debate and change the third debate so candidates can ask eachother questions. Then we can have more of a balance. And the candidates actually have to argue.

Kerry's a vet. He'd own Bush.

I take bush over Kerry in a cage match.

As for the Debate, I've already decided on who I'm voting for so they make little difference to me.

I've already made up my mind on who I'm voting for, however, I do enjoy watching the debates to watch how each stands up for his position.

Bush wouldn't even enter the ring, he'd have some other oaf from the administration take the hits for him.
If this were a drinking or cocaine-snorting contest, though .... *shudder*

Agreed.
On this topic, btw, anyone here play that computer game based on the election thing this year?
I don't have it but am curious about what others would think.

The last two debates have shown us that the determined can spin the outcome of the debate toward their own candidate no matter what.

If Bush said, "We invaded Iraq because Our Lord and Master commanded i...er...I mean... because it was the right thing to do." Republicans would still find a way to rationalize it away.

Same thing with Kerry's die-hards. As the 'cheating' conspiracy theories of the first debate showed. Bush lost handily and Democrats were still looking for hidden microphones!

I'll probably feel the same after this one as I have the past two. They've shown me nothing that would change my mind.
