This site is the very first to offer the delights of the sense of smell as well as the senses of sight and sound with which we are already familiar:

There is...like either a wine or a coffee website that has already added smell to their website. You order this box that hooks into the USB port and you can sample the scent of certain products before you purchase them. The box has a ton of chemicals in it and it just mixes them per specifications recieved by the website. Pretty neat stuff.

Well, let me be the first to say I might not be hanging around here much longer, cause most of you stink!

Does this mean that some hacker can stink up my living room with "Eu de Vomit" or something?

Anyone else remember the old Infocom adventure Leather Goddesses of Phobos which came with a scratch-and-sniff card for use at appropriate junctures in the game?

No, I'm not making this up.

With a name like "Leather Goddesses of Phobos", I'm guessing the card smelled of tuna?

Pizza, moth balls, perfume. I don't recall the rest.

Hackers hate chemistry and wouldn't know the first thing about mixing chemicals for scent. Besides, it's USB. Just unplug it.

It's a clever concept. Vanilla text format and then smell...
