Question for anti-Kerry fanatics

Let's suppose for a moment, that some miracle happens and Kerry wins in November. Those of you who despise him...
...will you still despise him the same? He will be your President, so you would be unpatriotic, unAmerican, disrespectful to the office, etc. By the logic you apply to people who view Bush in the same light as you view Kerry, you could also be considered communist and a danger to America.
So? Will you still be against Kerry if he is in office? Or will you flip-flop? And how will you justify your position? Neo-cons, please give your thoughts.

You can respect the office and dislike the man who occupies it. You can like the idea of mods to control flaming and spamming, but you may not like individual mods. Ideas are different than reality.

...and you thought the anti-Bush folks are anti-the-idea? The minority is, i suppose. Which makes the point still stand to those who argued and argue otherwise.

I believe that he probably will get into office, I prefer republicans over democrates, but I don't think it matters, either way we will get some rich old white guy backed by massive corporations and different lobbys. I don't think I will respect him as the president, I do not respect Bush either, but at least he tries to do the right thing it seems like. I hope that everyone realizes that Kerry will not really change all that much, hes going to blame all his problems on Bush, and say that all this great stuff is changing but I doubt he will do anything big enough to care about.

Traditional conservatives are just fine.
On the other hand, neo-cons do have thoughts. Evil, weasally, greedy thoughts. They just lack feelings (but they play them on TV.)

Ooh, you called him a F.A.G.!
:p
Kerry would be one step closer to making the U.S. a socialist country. So yes, I would still dislike him the same.

Be more specific which law do you think he will make makes us socialist?

Kerry will change, as do all Presidents, once the implications of being "President of ALL the people" sink in. How much he will change is anyone's guess. Let's put it this way ... I won't leave the Country if he's elected. How's that???

Well it wouldn't be laws since laws don't usually make you socialist, but the taxing the rich to give more benifits to the poor part is probably what he's talking about - raising taxes on the top 1% or whatever percentage makes over $200,000, and using it to pay for more / better healthcare. Its not as bad as it could be, if Kerry taxed the rich to the amount that it would be needed to actually cover all of his promises, but it is as he said one step closer.

I won't lie and slander Kerry if he is President, as many folks have lied and slandered against Bush while he has been President (including Kerry himself).
It would, however, certainly be poetic justice if every single thing that went wrong during a Kerry presidency he was held directly accountable for, and if every single thing that people did not like was blamed on him. But I personally wouldn't deliver that poetic justice.
I do reserve the right to disagree with him and any of his decisions, the same as I have with other Presidents in the past.
