yup another ask a **** thread...dont like them? dont clik :)

What exactly do separatists want? Why do some people want to separate Quebec from Canada? I've heard about it, but I've never really known why.
This is a good question...I heard the points of view of most english-Canandians...But now...Is there any french-Canadians in the house?

Sorry, another English Canadian here, but I can tell you the basic reasons why some people want Quebec to be an independant nation.
i) they want to preserve their own language many cities in Quebec are mostly home to Angolphones (english speakers)
ii) many of them feel that because they have to interact with the rest of Canada so much that they are losing their culture.
iii) some people feel that the FLQ was not dealt with fairly by the Prime Minister at the time.
iv) historically there is no friendship between the French and English.

By the way if you want to here from them you will probably have to post in French. :-)

Boy, you'd think if you wanted to ask a Quebecoi you would at least pick one who knew how to spell what he was.....

...rather than one who aparently thinks he is plural, and is also gender-uncertain...

:D
