Is George W Bush a polarising figure?

I think he is. America is politically polarised. Opposition to him and support for him appears to be very fervent. Both sides see this as an "Armegeddon election" - if the other guy is elected, doom will surely follow. Liberals think that America will turn into a nationalist dictatorship waging four more wars. Republicans think that America will crumble under terrorism and homosexuality if John Kerry wins.
George W Bush embodies everything that liberals dislike about Republican conservatism, from what I can see. This is the main reason why he's a polarising figure.
All because of one president! What do you think?

Meh. I see no noticable difference from 2000. The rhetoric changes, but it's still about who's gonna be in power, and that's about it.

if you think the united states will fall to homosexuality if john kerry is elected, you are on the losing side of the intelligence spectrum

Really, I'd understand that arugment if Richard Simmons was running.

I wonder what "falling to homosexuality" means. :p
Like, rabid gays breaking into your house, shooting their contaminated bodily fluids on you...30 seconds later, you feel yourself...getting fruity...you feel...Fabulous...
As you step outside you see the most massive man orgy on one side, and the most massive chick orgy on the other side.
Helicopters crashing due to the brilliant rainbow that has shot up across town.
Military putting up concrete barriers and blockades, moving tanks through town, gays throwing rocks at the police...utter chaos...
You turn on the radio, they say they're going off the air, they play the national anthem once, and then are silent...you twist the knob, only static...
It will be Planet of the Gays.

No one thinks that. However, I'd sure like to have a country to pass on to the grandkids, rather than one run by the UN and the ICC. Europe can run itself from Belgium, I don't mind.. but Bush has his mind right, and that counts. ;)

Yeah Bush is polarized alright. His contributions have been very negative in regards to the US.
