My little sister was on the pbskids.org site - she came across these bizarre things called Boobahs, maybe you've seen them advertised on TV as these bizarre musical things.

http://img.getactivehub.com/gv2/custom_images/wmfe/boobah.jpg - here's a picture; it's too disturbing to put in the IMG code for

OMFG - they disturb me!!! Need. . . darkness! Too . . . happy!

OH MY GOD!
I saw them on TV once...not a commercial for them, the actual TV show. I was eating lunch at work and the TV was turned on to PBS or whatever station aired them. It was the strangest, freakiest thing I've ever seen. All they did then entire time was "dance" and spin around and make some noises. At one point, they all started doing a dance that looked suspiciously like humping. Messed up.

We can build...a "LASER"
But we'll build it on the moon, and we'll call it a "DEATH STAR"
And then we'll destroy the Boobahs once and for all.

These.....things get aired on CITV (children's 'slot' between 3:15 and 5:00 pm weekdays, for non-UKers) and are seemingly aired at toddlers. They make even less sense than the Tellytubbies, and their sole purppose in life is to walk around jiggling their immense girth.

Interestingly, a study of 2 year olds found that those that watched such pre-school 'educational' programs did not develop their language skills any faster than those toddlers that didn't (as the shows creators claimed they would) but were much more inclined to hugging one another.

How the hell do Boobahs get past the FCC? (who I hate)

How the hell do Boobahs get past the FCC?

The FCC are American so I can't comment with great authority, but I assume that, like in Britain, the shows creators claimed they were educational.

I was flipping channels after I had been up for 40 hours and I came across them and watched for like 25 minutes. It was crazy.
