this is good and ultimately bad
good - new family guy
bad - fox has the rights to the episodes
and we all know why family guy was canceled in the first place, fox kept shuffling its air position (i gave up trying to watch it cuz i had no idea when it was on) and the fcc and other soccer-mom groups jumpping it because it was airing on basic cable.
it will get taken off the air and we can only hope CN gets the rights to air the new episodes
all I know is that the evil monkey in my room is happy about it.

the only reason new episodes are coming up is because of the incredible ratings and popularity it has on CN and the popularity and the like from dvd sales.

I still haven't forgiven Fox for cancelling Family Guy.
i can't wait!
hopefully, the new episodes will cause stores to have special sales for the dvd box sets. i've been meaning to get the second one since it came out but i can't find it at a reasonable price.
though i saw it when it came out at costco for $30. my mom wouldn't get it for me (even though i was going to give her the cash for it [i lack a costco membership myself]) because she said it's a "stupid show" and now it's $60 everywhere.

Another great show fox cancelled was Firefly. I think it got replaced with some bad sitcom... sigh

Joss Whedon is turning Firefly into a film, coming to a cinema near you 2005ish. It's set 6 months after the end/cancellation of Firefly and "should be accesable to both fanboys and Firefly newbies".
Which is good, because Firefly was the only decent sci-fi I've seen in ages.

Well im from New Zealand so I dont know wtf Cn or Fox is (im gessin tv channels?) but all I know is Family Rocks! I got season 1 dvd and its pretty cool. :D unfortunately I wont get to see the new episodes for a long time .... :headbang:

CN and FOX are TV channels! God bless America but we have so many! With Family Guy's return things are better! I do agree that Futurama would be great to! Does anyone remember the Tick? That show was funny and FOX cancelled it! These things were about as stupid as the WB cancelling Angel. Strangle TV execs!

first off im going to update everyone on the whole family guy and american dad dates. family guy: march or may, not sure yet, 35-36 new episodes.
american dad, right aftr the superbowl, 16 new episodes.
and i have some intrestin info i learned from when seth mcfarlene was on love lines ( adam corollas' and dr. drew's radio show), seth mcfarlen does the voices of brian (brian is seths actual voice), stewie, peter(im not sure) and quagmire.* if i could rearrange the aulphabet, i would put u andi together, heh heh alriiigghhtt!!(i do an awesome quagmire imitation)
seth was 10 mins late to the 9-11 flight that he would of boarded. (that would of meant no more family guy if u havnt figured it out yet)
my opinions oon fox. the only reason that the show was kicked off the air is because no one watched it, almost everyone thought it was an immature show (which it is, but i dont care) adn the last few episodes is when ppl started realizing its yummy goodness but it was too late because it was already canceled. 100,000 complaints were sent to fox the day of the last episode, which led to the cn broad cast of family guy and the dvd's. the dvds are what really brought back family guy selling over million copies.
adn to an erlier reply i dont think the will show the jewish episode because it is on basic cable, u will only see tat episode on cn orthe dvd.
and to explain american dad, which is also made by seth mc.(i dont have much info.) the actual american dad is a stewie and a joe with lgs combined. the have an alien smartass living in there house (that they r aware about) 2 kids and he has a wife. if you wanna see the first min of the first episode of american dad, of course go to fox.com
