This poll has been canceled due to the stupid mistakes I made in the poll...I forgot to add multiple choice.

Yeah as I said

Passive, active, or doctor assisted? They are all different.

I say yes to Passive, no to the others.

Yes to passive, because its already legal. Its just letting you die, but active is forcing you to die. Its removing objects like resusitators because they are deemed unable to be effiencent. Or benefits are few.

HMO's are why to be against Active. HMo's might decide its cheaper to kill than save. Greed is HMO's mo. Doctor kills you, example Doctor Korvekian was arrested and put in jail for injecting a man with a lethal substance.

Why not Doctor assisted due to every natural function in body struggles to keep body alive. You are going against your own body's wishes. Doctor hands you something that you kill yourself with. Doctor just gives you the means.

Active: Doctor kills you
Doctor assisted: Doctor gives you tools that you kill yourself with
Pasive: removes equipment that Might save you

I would say yes to passive and doctor assisted, provided that either the person in question or (if in a coma) their immediate family requests it.

I would say no to active euthanasia, since it could potentially force doctors who are against euthanasia to kill patients.

All of the above. I'm definatly pro-choice when this subject comes up. However, this doesn't go far enough. Suicide of any kind should be legal. If someone, whether sick or perfectly healthy wishes to die, what right does the government have to stop them? Yes, public suicide should be illegal, you don't want someone jumping off a bridge and hitting someone else, but as long as they take care of it neatly, why not?

As for the concern about 'evil HMOs', I'd worry more about evil hospitals that encourage you to keep them wired up. . . . right up until the medical insurance and money runs out.
