And he did recieve $84 return as a small business owner. So, whats worse.

A) Bush not doing his own taxes.

B) Kerry spinning this out of proportion.

But it still proves that Bush did at one time (at least) own a Timber company. God I hope that comes back to haunt him. lol

Did Kerry really spin it out of porportion? Really? He was quoting factcheck.org when the website analysed the claim that 900,000 small business owners would be hit by Kerry's tax plan. The criteria was so loose it included both Cheney and Bush as small business owners and was misleading. Is that out of porportion or demonstrative? He wasn't accusing Bush of being part of 'big lumber,' or deriding for stock ownership, he was demonstrating how misleading Bush's figure was. That seems entirely in porportion. How quickly context is lost so we can make excuses for Bush...

A change in the way his taxes where filed move the income so it wouldn't meet the standard, he still owns the lumber stock. The fact that he owns stock in a lumber company IS NOT THE ISSUE, it's demonstrative of how Bush defines small businesses to create his claim the 900,000 small business would be hit by Kerry's tax plan.

KERRY NEVER SUGGESTED IT'S IN ANYWAY BAD TO OWN STOCK IN A LUMBER COMPANY.

Get a grip.

There are bigger issues than whether or not Dubya owned part of a lumber company, surely?

He lied (or didn't know, is idiocy worse than lying?) about Iraq, he screwed up the economy, and he has as much intelligence as the average slug.*

Think those are more pressing issues than owning a handful of shares?

According to Keith Olbermann (http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/5445086/) who cites factcheck.org, "President Bush himself would have qualified as a 'small business owner' under the Republican definition, based on his 2001 federal income tax returns. He reported $84 of business income from his part ownership of a timber-growing enterprise." Brooks Jackson's marvelous site noted that the timber interest was listed under "royalties" in his 2002 and 2003 returns, indicating The Texas Thunderbolt still has an interest in said concern.

The fact that Bush lied about it after it was pointed out, and then made a joke about it is really indicative of his nature.

If I was as rich as he, I doubt I would know about $84 dollars from a lumber company I owned/owned shares in.

Bush not doing his own taxes is worse by far. Kerry knows more about Bush than Bush does! What an idiot!

And you should make that question into a poll.
