The American government is the architect of the hatred of America worldwide.

Increasingly, the worldwide revulsion and the increasing hatred and dislike of Americans in general and especially their reviled foreign policy have been building up a reservoir of hatred worldwide.

I think this is quite obvious.Under Clinton, the world was more or less split halfway, with many supporting America and others hating it.With Bushy boy the Yale dropout and deserter, more people hate America than ever before.

I personally am torn between a growing dislike of America as a political entity and its associated foreign policy and trying to maintain a balanced view of America as a necessary evil.

In East Asia, there exists a perceived containment of China by the USA,playing Taiwan and Japan againsta rising China. In South Asia, there is the contradiction involved in having Pakistan as an ally and India as a strategic partner, where the USA plays them against each other to occupy a rising India.

In South East Asia, the role of America is minimal at the very least, thanks in part to the Vietnam War having made them wary of engaging in jungle warfare with the masters of it.Singapore tries to maintain the involvment of the USA,India,China and Japan in South East Asia to maintain a strategic balance of the powers.Indonesia, the largest nation in South East Asia,is wary of an increasingly militant Australia with its rhetoric of pre-emptive strikes and playing the role of deputy to America in the region.

In the Muslim diaspora, the liberation of Afghanistan and the invasion of Iraq and its continued occupation continue to engender hatred. This is the result of a foreign policy that is inconsistent with the differing adminisations in power and an ill thought out long term policy. This has recently been worsened in the past few years with President Bush's policies.

I have a saying to contribute that fits the situation;Your violence will come back to haunt your descendants.

Didn't you post this before.

Speaking for the world again.

I wish I could find this hatred all countries are supposed to have.

As to violence to the decendents. Hardly.

People will start forgetting stuff when they see the Shrub gone.

Finally, if you think Americans are afraid of Jungle warfare, you don't know americans.

As an American, I really have to agree that the current government has probably the worst foreign policy of any that I can recall, and my parents say the same. One thing that I feel compelled to point out is that America is not its government, and in fact the majority of the population do not like our Administration any more than people from other countries do. If there is any justice left, the nimrod occupying the Oval Office will be given his pink slip come November.

America under bush is becoming the evil empire.

The USA cannot suceed as an empire due to the nature of their government. Believe me, they did try, but they gave up after they found out how much they sucked at it.

There is a reason why we dont have Cuba style plans for Iraq.

Syria, the greatest hole on this planet. Not only that, they refuse to leave Lebanon alone. They are slowly sucking away Lebanon's economic life. Syria is manipulating Lebanese politics and have forcefully amended Lebanese constitution to further implement their control. I personally think that America should blow away Syria. I would forgive America for all of its past mistakes.

I agree that our government is making us look bad, however I dont agree with your last sentence about how it will come back to haunt us. . . it just sounds a bit too vengeful for my tastes

I hate to point out your ignorance and all but, GW Bush Graduated from Yale with a BA in History, then went on to Harvard and Graduated with a MA (Thats a Masters Degree) in Business Administration.

You may be confusing him with Al Gore Jr. (2000 Dem Candidate and Clinton VP) who dropped out of 3 different schools and never graduated.

There is also no conclusive proof that Bush was a deserter, nor is there conclusive proof that he was ever AWOL.

Be assured, the US has a loyal ally in Australia who re-elected the pro-Bush Prime Minister John Howard for the 4th time today.

I was there on a 3 weekis hiking (backpack and motorcycle) trip, in june.
Dude you don't know the country. Alltough not a democracy, people everywhere debated and discused (also critisized) their politics. The country is much more open then most people think. And from the warmest people I met in the Middle East.Baalbek is a must see, together with the small places in the dessert.

About Lebanon, I would'nt blaim Syria something when you don't critic Israel that often fly over both countries and bombs innocents in a attempt to hit the resistance.

Must say that we also went a few days to the Bekaa valley and had great food and wines there (Chateau Musar and Chateau Kefraya, WOW). Kind of a mixture between of French mediteranian and the Arab kitchen.

want mr bush honorably discharged from the texas air national guard? (or whatever the equivalent might be) it may well have been manipulated but he certainly wasnt a deserter.

isnt singapore a friend in the US in south east asia? i know a few americans who live there very happily.

oh yeah here it is.....
in a speech in sanfrancisco in 2000

QUOTE
The US and Singapore enjoy a close and warm relationship. The US is an important strategic and trading partner for Singapore.

The US has consistently been Singapore's largest trading partner. Last year, US - Singapore trade amounted to over US$40 billion, accounting for nearly one-fifth of Singapore's global trade. Singapore is also a major trading partner of the US. In 1998, Singapore was the US' 10th largest trading partner. Not many Americans are aware that US trade with Singapore is greater than US trade with Spain or Italy.

UNQUOTE

i dont think you need to worry about the US invading singapore any time soon.

The fact of the matter is, would you rather have countries like us, and have an economical mess (what Clinton has done), or hate us, and not?

People say Unemployment is worse than ever, when actuallythe unemployment rate is down from when Clinton was in office. Over one million new jobs have been created while Georgie was in office. And everyone who hates America now, has hated it from day one.

"I don't feel secure"

That's why the hell we're fighting this war. Saddam Hussein has provided food and housing for numbers of terrorists and Al Queda, besides the WMD. Even if there were no weapons found, that's just one more idiot gone from this earth. (Saddam) He also was stealing money from the U.N.

What about the statement made by Bin Laden at the time of the bombings in Spain? He wants Bush to win so that the US will continue to isolate itself and unite the Muslim world against the US. This alleged statement was not distributed in the west at the time. Apparently all terrorist activities have been called off until after the elections in hope Bush will succeed. Imad Khadduri has stated this in an oct. 7 interview on democracy now. I'm interested if anyone outside the US can produce this statement from Bin Laden in it's entirety.

Wrong. Bush is now known as the first President in 70 years to lose jobs. That and the fact that I'm seeing people working three and four jobs that pay under $10 an hour to make ends meet. Is that what that means, creating more jobs is working 2 or more jobs 70-80 hrs a week? Clinton balanced the budget like it or not. His 1993 tax increase that Republicans decried caused a budget surplus. Joe Scarborough said that. I DO feel secure, not because of Bush or Clinton but because even though we had a terrorist even that was horrific, I have a much greater chance of being struck by lightning than from dieing at the hands of terrorists. Or choking to death on a pretzel.

He's talking about total employment I think, not non-farm payroll jobs (the "job" figure that gets thrown around the most).
