I think he was trying to say that Kerry thought the world would be a better place if Saddam was still in power. No, he didn't get the point across very well. XD

Actually, I think the world would be a better place with Hussein still in place. With some sanctions banning weapons related stuff from entering Iraq (not food and the like, this stuff should never be banned). Better than having the out of control terrorism in Iraq we have now.

So would you say that Bush accidentally told the truth? ;)

I think he also said Senator Kennady is the most liberal person in the senate"

when he meant kerry, of course. although, I really think that's not true. kerry seems pretty moderate to me.

In his dumb rightwing nutjob style... yes he did. For once something I can agree with. The world is worse off with Hussein "toppled". The US is worse off with Hussein "toppled".

My personal favorite: "We have a plan to improve the wetlands by 3 million." No, I'm not cutting off the end. He really did say "improve the wetlands by 3 million," which begs the question...3 million what? 3 million plants? 3 million logging operations? 3 million acres drained? 3 million new residents after the wetlands are drained?

So yeah, good job there George. No units whatsoever. Your science teacher would be appalled.

Well what I think it is is that in addition to the well-established fact that Bush is an evil two-faced lying slimebucket, he is also a majorly moronic fucktard. So when he puts on the shit-eating grin and does that tight little full-body-tension shrug and looks around at the crowd with that "we're all just blue-collar average working Joes here, ain't we?" look, and he opens his sick lying mouth to spew forth yet another dose of the Big Lie that his career has become based upon, he is just too fucking incompetent to actually lie effectively, and what comes out is simply the truth - quite unintentional, and, from the look on his blank witless face and in his cold soulless eyes, it seems quite evident that he doesn't even know that he's done it.

Yeah, I was laughing at that one too. After much debate, some friends and I decided he meant 3 million bombs.

Oh, and my new favorite quote is "Need some wood?" I think it's even good enough to replace last debate's stellar quote, "You forgot Poland!"

Kerry had some good lines too.
"We did something you don't even know how to do; we balanced the budget!"

Another high note was when Bush started antagonizing the moderator. You don't get away with that in NS, and you shouldn't get away with it in America.

More proof Bush is a total moron when it comes to public speaking. I call for a prayer offensive that both these ilk can find their eternal resting places quite sooner than later. It doesn't matter who becomes president out of tweedle-dee and tweedle-dumb, the US is still going to hell in a handbasket.

These posts (especially the "evil grin, cold soulless eyes" one by Druthulu) would be laughable if they weren't so utterly ignorant.

This is proof positive that we need to restrict voting to people who can prove they have factual basis for supporting one candidate over another. Cuz you stupid, prejudiced, easily-manipulated jellyfish are ruining this election, just like you've ruined every election since Washington.

If you can fault Bush on the economy, or Iraq, or whatever, then do it. Cite the examples, show the facts, and hate away. A lot of very well educated people do it. It's called a "difference of opinion", and it's based on fact and informed decision. Kind of like what I'm doing with Kerry right now.

But please, please please don't sit there and make an ass of yourself by screeching about how he's Satan incarnate with plans to rape infants and incinerate the universe with his evil powers.

If I ask someone under the age of 23 why they don't like Bush, 3/4ths of the time the answer is either:

A) a ridiculous and utterly unfounded assumption that even Kerry couldn't support with a straight face ("He's going to draft everyone under 21 and force us to invade Iran!", "He's going to make abortions illegal again!", "He's going to force us kids to take responsiblity for our actions!")

B) some sort of crack on his intelligence, ("He's an idiot!") dual-degrees from Harvard and Yale, and fighter-pilot certification not withstanding

C) some sort of crack on his appearance, often in association with the above ("He looks like a monkey!", "He looks like a big dumb hillbilly redneck!")

People like you make me agree with Michael Mooreon when he talks about "stupid Americans".

I have two books on quotes like these. The first titled "George W. Bushisms" and the second titled "More George W, Bushisms". Also a day-by-day tear off calender with a Bushism for each day of the year. One of my friends also has a different calender with mostly different quotes. I never thought all those stupid quotes could come from one idiot, but if anyone could do it, it's Dubya!

I agree with the last sentence though, although I use a different 'you'.

You want good solid reasoned reasons why Bush should not be president? Hit your "backspace" button, because this forum is full of them. This thread is about "bushisms", those sad pathetic butcherings of meaning and of the english language that constantly crop up to remind us of what a brainless moron the man is. If you don't approve, for some reason, of discussing this, please leave this thread and find one that will tell you (whether you choose to hear it or not) many many good reasons to dump this dangerous loser.

But why on Earth do you think that Bush's incredibly mind-boggling stupidity is not a good solid reason to vote against him? Do you think it's good that we have a president who can't even tell the most pivotal lie of his campaign without fucking up and telling the truth instead? Maybe you think that he's not stupid, just incredibly verbally inept? Yeah, it's certainly unreasonable to expect a president to know how to say "nuclear", isn't it? To require him to not shove his foot down his throat when he speaks in public is just nuts, right?

I loved the one a few months ago:

Brilliant, you couldn't make it up.

from the look on his blank witless face and in his cold soulless eyes, it seems quite evident that he doesn't even know that he's done it.

i think his eyes are more beady than anything.

and uh, yeah... i know some people who support bush solely for a number of very stupid reasons.
1. he's a good christian. wtf does that have to do with his abilities to lead a country?
2. he wants to ban abortion.
3. saddam hussein was behind the events of september 11th and deserved to be taken down because he had weapons of mass destruction.
4. bush is opposed to gay marriage.

et c. there are stupid enough reasons from both sides.
